What food item would you NOT feed your snake?

Is there any food item (chicks, rabbits, kittens (O_O), etc,) that you would not feed your snake. And if there is, here's an added catch, what if it was your DREAM snake and he would be for free but he only ate one of the food items that you said you wouldn't feed before?

Oh, and don't think about the health of the food item in your answer, just your general repulsiveness to feeding it off to your snake. :)

Chicks.. I don't know why, but I like.. subconsciously think their claws and beak are dangerous.. O.o

Orphans and the kids parents drop off at the local pool. Just cant do it...

i dont know about you but i would have no problem snatching up some loud barking neighbor dogs, hehehe.:rolleyes:

id stick to just owning snakes that will be happy eating mice & rats regardless of if it was a free dream snake (piebald/queenbee)

id rather wait & save up for my dream snake than feed a free dream snake something I would hate myself for.

All mammals that are "domesticated" are illegal anyway....ie. cats, dogs, so on.

I keep mice and rats as pets. I love them. And yet, I feed them (the species not my pets) to my snakes no problem. So, my answer would probably be none, I'd feed anything. Even small children. I don't care for other people's kids. Especially if they whine. When I first read the question I thought of tarantulas, the urticating hairs would be a beotch going down....

really? I didn't know that.

I'm pretty sure it's legal for people to eat them, why not snakes?(if I'm wrong about the people part then nevermind).

I could see animal laws about proper treatment being used to prevent live cats/dogs being fed to snakes, but I don't know of any law that would prevent a humanely p/k dog or cat being fed to snakes.

Also, I'm pretty sure that chickens are considered every bit a domesticated species as dogs and cats. All farm animals are domesticated.

oh I forgot to mention, I wouldn't ever feed a dog or a cat to a snake.. just on principle. I personally don't see any reason it should be illegal to feed them to snakes, and would have no problem with other people doing it, I just find them too cute :D

I really don't see any animal as off-limits, as long as it was an appropriate item for that snake. I would not feed humans to my snakes!.. they are too nasty what with the preservatives, etc. in them from their nasty diets! ::goes off to make some boxed soup mix and to pour a glass of coca cola::

I'd definitely not not feed my snake kittens lol (note the double negative :rolleye2:) but really IF someone was offering me a pewter-bee (my #1 must have snake someday) that only ate the fingers of children who have been nothing but nice their entire life your darn tootin I'd be out rounding up children in a heartbeat lol :taz::banana::taz::banana::taz::banana::taz:.

Chickens and other farm animals are domesticated FEEDER animals.....so therefore are game to be eaten by snakes.

I would never feed my snakes spaghetti,lasagna,cottage cheese,fruit loops,Mtn Dew,very small rocks,cheese wiz,ice cream,balloons,canned spam,tacos,lettuce,tobacco products,burning wood,dryer sheets,chocolate covered chicken nuggets,bandaids,notebook paper,lps spray lube,twinkies,garden tools,roofing shingles,electronics,football helmets,sharp swords,dull swords,ammunition,power tools,christmass ornamints,bowling balls,
batteries,copy machines,fire extinguishers,cat tires,truck tires,lug nuts,play dough,sillp putty,silverware,denim jean jackets,socks,old shoes,new shoes,
my leachies(Giant geckos),myself,my motorcycle,my family,drywall mud....

I actually had one come to mind... beardies.

I could not feed a beardie off no matter how much I wanted the snake. They have the eyes and the face... :)

Or cucumbers... just the smell of a cuc makes me wretch. I seriously hate them.

Ah-HAH! So you admit it! You WOULD feed them very large rocks, or medium sized rocks!

And I wouldn't feed my snakes those snake sausages... cause...ew.

Since when did we have to start feeding them?;)

I don't think I could feed dogs, cats or rabbits. I like some of the bigger snakes but the reason I went with a ball python was because I could manage mice and rats (just barely though.)

As for anything in particular that I couldn't feed I cant think of anything. Some ppl say they can't feed cats and dogs I am not saying I would like it but its our responsibility to feed these animals and keep them healthy and If a particular snake only ate kittens (which im not sure how it would aquire a taste for something unless someone had fed one to it before hand) then I would have to feed it kitttens.

No Steers... wife likes steak too much. :)
