finally the enchi shed... and a fire and a normal. :)

So I have been waiting for my enchi male to shed and he finally rewarded me. His sis is still holding out, but she should be ready to go anyday...

As well I could not resist and took a pic of my Fire male and one of my normal girls.

A pic of my male Fire, named Ash (which I stole from my first BP R.I.P). And yes... for the Evil Dead fans, I have an adult female normal named Linda, that he will be paired with this season.

And here is Naomi, a female normal I got over the summer. She is just a great snake. I really like this girl. She is an early 08 CH.

I am pretty happy with all of them. I have been holding out on posting pics of the enchis till they shed. I absolutely love their coloring. Such a great snake. Cannot wait for the a pastel enchi, super enchi, and fire enchi... :)

Ash was a sweet normal and my first BP. He passed away from the 3 years of cumulative bad husbandry that he had prior to coming into my care... and starting this obscene obsession with these amazing snakes (and snakes of all kinds).

Collection just would not have been complete without an Ash... and Linda needs her betrothed. :)

That and I have to pay homage to Mr. Campbell and his legacy of best B horror of all time.

Your enchi is stunning, Bruce! He was worth the wait to see pictures of him! Ash is a very fitting name for your new fire, and a wonderful tribute to his namesake, who was so dear to you! Naomi is lovely!

Whew!! They are hotties...I have to say the enchi and the fire are probably some of the better representatives of their morphs that I have seen. Awesome little guys!

I was happy to give him that name. You and a few select others know what I went through when I lost him (Ash). So it was a silly and surprisingly emotional decision to re-use his name. But when I decided to pair him with Linda it just made sense. :)

That's a great compliment, thanks. Worst part was that I would like to say I have a great eye, but it was really a matter of having a chance to buy a 1.1 enchi and a fire... the pics weren't that good, but I took a chance and was so very pleased when I actually got them (I had never seen an enchi or fire in person before).

I have been cracking the poor enchis tub daily to peek at him... and that is rare, I really do minimal bothering of my snakes for the first few months. But he is just too sweet. And he's a babe... and if there is anything cuter than a baby snake I just haven't met it.

PS: Thanks Jo. I was so glad to give him Ash's name. And I am a big stupid sentimental goof... so it was a big step for me. I figured that the name would be retired for life.

Rats... not so much, we recycle all the names except for Ginger. :)
