Love it! :D Wish I had more time to add some to my collection. With Kelly in school and both of us working it is a chore to keep up what we have.
    Great photos!

    Hi,

I could be wrong but it looks like she is re-growing the front left leg after losing it.

It looks thinner and less hairy?

Yep! She loses her leg every molt, for who knows why. Her humidity is perfect, as well as her temperatures. She isn't under much stress as well. The only time shes bothered is during feeding/cleaning...hence, 7 legged freak :P

I stand corrected....it turns out this girl isn't a Grammostola aureostria (Chaco Goldknee), but infact a Lasiodora difficilus (Brazilian Firered Birdeater). There was a mix-up during shipping, and she was just identified :)

Nice work there! Yeah I'm not good with insects and spiders, but they sure are an interesting photographic subject....whats the cold cup trick you mentioned by the way?

It is the same trick most photographers use for snakes and lizards, except you use a short, cool cup instead of a bowl, to limit their walking space and keep them from climbing the cup :) Keeps them in the general area long enough to get a shot.
