I was a pirate or something, except I wasn't really a pirate because the buttons on the costume were like navy ones, it was confusing

Did not have time get in costume myself as it took 20 hours alone just to make the mask for my 8 y/o sons Tusken Raider Costume.
It all homemade by my wife and I. He a Star Wars nut and last year went as a jawa (we did it in the same manner as this year near movie quality but was not near as time consuming as this year)

Let me know what you all think

That Tuskan Raider outfit is supurb!! Kudos!

Well, I didn't get a chance to dress out this year thanks to my back, but I have plenty of other costume pictures. :D

This is a few years ago with my BF, me as a water sprite and him as Raistlin. He looked pretty darn good, since his hair is almost to his waist naturally. Sorry for the quality...

Just me, easier to see my costume. (I made that all myself, of course)
    http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...atersprite.jpg

Who says you can't get more than one use out of them? Yes, I went out like that.

And, just to show off, my ex and my daughter as Hermione and Hogwarts Prof. a few years back. Yes, that's a wig she's wearing.

okay I did not dress up.. but the only pics I have at the moment are of my daughter in hers. She was a fairy princess. Best part is that she was imitating her brother and kept making scary monster noises, so I said she was an evil fairy princess. :D enjoy. As soon as I get pics of my two sons in their costumes I'll post them as well.

Thanks. I thought about it, but the resemblance was close enought that either you knew who I was or you didn't. I did make the throat slit prosthetic out of liquid latex and hand paint it with acrylics, though.

Thanks, Laura. They were very last minute ideas. We had colds and didn't think we were going out, but Briana decided to on Thursday night, so since I had a sick beard going I started googling famous beards. I couldn't find anything, so I decided on either Toki Wartooth from metalocalypse or Anton Levay. It was cheap, but I had to shave my head and that ridiculous goatee, and nair my eyebrows into points to pull it off. :D

Alright, I usually don't do picture threads, but Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love making costumes!

I don't have a pic of my Akasha costume from this year, sadly. It actually didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped (I am not great with face makeup, apparently). But here's my costume from last year, this one I am especially proud of and my first "elaborate" costume.

FREE COOKIES to anyone who can guess who I am dressed as!! :D :D

Your pentagram is the wrong pentagram.

Thanks! I just used the green foam you can get in the flower arrangements section of Joann's, carved it into the right shape (was a pain in the butt, even with my uber sharp steak knife) and sealed them with 3 coats of a hard-drying glue, then painted three layers of gold nailpolish on top. I used spirit gum and copious amounts of liquid latex to attach them. Once I got it all on, and everything was dry, I could hardly tell I was wearing it--it was all very comfortable.

WOW, did all that makeup make you itchy!? For this year's costume I wore white face makeup and I was itchy, but I can't imagine what you must have been dealing with. Then again I did use makeup from Wal-mart. :D

Costume looks INSANE though. I can only hope that someday I can make a costume that looks that good!

Nope! Not at all. I went to a costume shop and got the good brand-name kind...it was about $3 a tube, and I used 2 full tubes. I wish I'd gotten 3 actually, since it took 3 layers to get good coverage. But really, once it was all on and dry, the most uncomfortable part of the costume was the top. It became kind of itchy after I dyed it (and didn't dye the right color..!) and my hair. The hair cement didn't work, and was itchy...

Thanks! It didn't take too awfully much work on the whole. Just a lot of planning, and about 6 hours cutting fluttery cloth into triangles and sewing it on. XD

UHH NO!!! I hate it when people say that an upside down pentagram has something to do with satan. IT DOESN'T!! The symbol for Satan is the upside down cross. Pagans don't believe in Satan or anything from christianity for that matter. Please do some research.
