Killer!!!!
These are a couple descent shots I took today of my female Baik GTP, Killer. I have a real hard time taking photos of her because of various tones of color on her. She has a lot black, a bit of yellow, white specks, blue towards her ventral surface and on her lips, and of course various shades of green. I think my cheap camera just gets confused!

She is not the most "classic" looking chondro but man I love her.

Re: Killer!!!!
I think she looks fantastic! I really hope the black sticks. For a poopy camera, the picks look great! Thanks for sharing. Im adding a biak to my collection soon, cant wait!:gj:

I think the black pigment is there to stay. I got here as a yearling and have had her almost 6 years now and she has progressively developed more and more black pigment as time has gone on. I hope she gives me another clutch of eggs next spring as I would love another chance at hatching some out.

Re: Killer!!!!
She is beautiful!
Got my first Biak from Greg Maxwell - They are REALLY amazing animals - although not as sweet as say my Aru or Jaya are - BUT they make some of the most fantastic animals I have seen.
Who produced her? She is so lovely - she looks full grown it seems her fantastic colors are there to stay. :gj:

She came from Ben Seigel and is a Bushmaster farmed animal. She is over 6 years old and produced her first clutch this past summer. Unfortunately she laid her eggs when I was out of town and they dried up a bit. Hopefully my timing is better next year. She was really aggressive when I first got her but after 5+ years together we have come to a really solid understanding of each other.

Biaks are cool because of how variable they can be. Some are really high yellow, others are more of an aquired taste because the heavy black pigment can give them a dirty look. Personally I love the my girls dark look.
Their temperment isn't for everyone, but then again I am more into looking at my snakes as opposed to handling them. When I evenually add a Sorong to my collection it won't be for their rep of being a very docile locale type but because of those beautiful blue markings they have. Another bonus of Biaks is that if get a youngster especially a red one you get enjoy a very prolonged and spectacular color change!

Re: Killer!!!!
i totally agree with you on the Biaks!! that is what i have and if things go like they are going, mine should turn into a tri color. he/she (i need to invest in some probes) is a weird shade of green, not your typical green with lots of yellow still. its a yearling so hopefully it will throw some blues and keep the yellow.
i love the darker animals like yours! also you gotta love the masks that biaks tend to have!!!

Re: Killer!!!!
I'm not much for the Biaks but this one is outstanding! Bushmaster is great! Pure bloodlines which is often hard to verify these days. I love how "dirty" she looks,it brings out the dark rings on her back. If you produce some this year I'd be very interested in one of them.
