The Quiet STORM!!

Hey all this is my new Pick up! her name is Storm(because that's when I got her, during a storm but also because Storm is my fav female X-Men who happens to be from Africa! Alot in common huh? I hope that she'll be my patriarch to my bumblebee project in a few years, but any way what do you all think...

your right man, i couldnt see it that well when she was in a box but i like the eraser effect she has going on. Beautiful...so much for waiting a week, i kno u couldt resist.

Beautiful spider! I remember when mine was that tiny! lol

yeah I cant wait for mine to get bigger. she's weighing in at a hefty 70 g. she was in shed in that pic but she's out of shed now and she's stunning i'll get pics in a few days.. as she just took down a mighty hopper mouse lol

yeah .. you gotta see her eat though.. she's voracious..(sp?) she snatched the mouse into her hide. it was like watching a movie where the killer snatches a person into a door or something lol

Haha thanks. But I can't take any credit for her. I bought her from Tim and Monica Bailey from Bailey & Bailey Reptiles. They produce some of the best BP's in town IMO.

Yeah, my little spider girl who I've had almost a week now is weighing in at about 90g. I'm actually considering starting a bee project with her, as well. My friend has a pastel who will be of breeding weight in two years when my little girl is ready, too, so we might try for a bumblebee in that first breeding. Maybe we should collaborate :D

Sounds good to me!!.. my buddy has 2 Ybs he's breeding so in about 5 years we 'll try for something new.. like an ivory bumble bee or pastel ivory.. both of which are probably impossible to do but hey that's the fun of it...Lets see some pics of your spider girl!! I love looking at new pics!

I have pics of my little girl in the thread labeled "Arianna". And I'm thinking of playing around with some lesser platinums to get some lesser bees or maybe queen bees. I really love the axanthic bees, too. I'm kinda wondering if you can get an axanthic lesser bee, or if they'd just turn out to look like the axanthic bumblebees. I guess there's only one way to find out :-P

That sounds about right! I read that spiders are one of the most outgoing morphs, as well as one of the most voracious eaters. I took the hides out of the tank to feed my little girl for the first time today and she didn't need much time to recognize the mouse in the tongs before attacking. Totally caught me off guard.
