Halloween!
Is my absolute favorite holiday of the year.
Forget Christmas/New Years/Valentines/Easter/Thanksgiving
Forget it all! Halloween rocks x)
Unfortunately, however, at 16 I'm a little to old to be out, begging candy off of strangers. So I just play escort for my two little brothers who are the perfect age for candy begging and just steal some of there loot :D
So heres the age old question...
What are YOU doing for Halloween? :rolleye2:
I'm the appointed hair/makeup/escort/candy thief.
Both brothers are going as the gory undead. Ones going to have a missing eyeball is going to be in the early-ish stages of decay. The other is going to look a lot like his face went through a meat grinder.
My bosses daughter is also tagging along, she's going as a vampire. I have to do her makeup and hair.
I myself am going as a sort of demon zombie. I actually have no real idea what I am going as, but whatever it is, it will be fun. And I'm going to be dripping with bones x) (all properly sanitized and bleached)
I can't wait for tomorrow. It's going to be SO awesome.

Re: Halloween!
I'm dressing up as myself to hand candy out.. Thats scary enough! LMAO

Re: Halloween!
I think I'm dressing up as shaggy from scooby doo, I don't know if anyone will get it.
I'm planning on going to a costume party and I am only dressing up so I don't have to pay for beer. If I would have gone all out it would be a lot better, you got to love seeing someone dress up in a cool costume

Re: Halloween!
I'm 20 and my friends and I are thinking about trick or treating. :D
I'm going as Akasha from the second book of the Anne Rice series... no one will get it, but basically I'm an ancient Egyptian queen-gone-vampire. I love doing elaborate costumes even though few people understand them!!
Halloween is also one of my all time favorite holidays!! That and Thanksgiving!

Re: Halloween!
I am also of the candy stealing profession!
Later I'll be going to a halloween party with my boyfriend but the early evening will be spent bringing my 3 little brothers out trick or treating since apparently 23 is too old to be doing it myself!
I'm also going to be a kitty kat!

Re: Halloween!
I'll be hiding in my house with all the lights out...:weirdface
If we had front porch furniture, I'd make an evening of it...but we don't so I don't want to have to jump up every 2 seconds from the couch to dole out candy...
I kinda got Halloween spirit ruined out of me...the last time I carved a pumpkin, a beautiful pumpkin I might add, I had it all set up pretty on my front porch with a candle and everything...
and it was smashed against my driveway within 15 minutes.
Ooookay, fine. To heck with you people. =P

I used to live across the street from a college and my pumpkins got smashed all the time- it really is a damper.

Awesome! I love that series- I have em all, actually! Lol!
Jason and I are going to a Halloween/ surprise birthday party for his mom. We're dressing up as a Geisha and Ninja. Should be a fun time!

Re: Halloween!
:D:D:D Halloween is the Greatest!!
And 16 being too old?? Nonsense! I went out until I was 17, and only stopped after that because we moved into a fogey neighborhood. The key to continuing the tradition of candy-begging is the costume. When you're older, the costume has to be really cool to get the desired results. :D
The Akasha idea is too cool! I loved that series and think that would be a wonderful costume. Too bad I don't have the body type for it.
The Geisha/Ninja thing is what my BF and I did last year. :) The year before we were Crysania and Raistlin...THAT was fun.
This year... sadly I won't be doing much since I'm still recovering from my back going out completely Sunday (which is why I've been scarce for those who wondered). I HAD planned on going out as a Belly Dancer since I have to have my own costume for the class I'm in as it is. Alas...
I hope the rest of you have fun on this All Hallows Eve...

Re: Halloween!
I don't dress up... LOL I think I am already scary enough!!!:rolleye2:
my son is going to be an Army Man.. he is obsessed with military stuff.
My daughter, well we had to make her costume. Tobi, from Naruto
taking my son to the outlet mall, then around my neighborhood* we live in the country *.
I put a huge halloween bowl filled with Candy. I put a note, & say Happy Halloween, take a handful of candy.
* we come home, there is usually candy left *

Re: Halloween!
I'll be cleaning snake poo like I usually do on fridays. Maybe I should wrap some up in wax paper and pawn them off as homemade fudge. hehe j/k!

Re: Halloween!
I love love LOVE Halloween. And I trick-or-treated until I was 18 :P
This year we have my daughter from 6-8, so we're going to take her TOT, hopefully at one of the malls since my neighborhood sucks. She's the Corpse Bride from Tim Burton's movie (she's 4.5!!).
Then my BF and I are going to sit around and watch scary movies....

Re: Halloween!

first of all, your NEVER too old for trick or treating! lol i'm 20, and I still go! granted I live in a college town, and that sort of thing isn't out of the norm for us. So today, I'm going to our statewide veterinary conference, then getting my costume on, trick or treating, then ,of course, partying like it's 1599 (lol @ gypsy costume)

Re: Halloween!
Last year, I answered the door all night with Kisasa (about 1500g of ball python) wrapped around my neck. That was awesome watching people's faces when they realized she was real. The little kids thought she was amazing...the bigger kids were more inclined to be scared. Pretty funny. Wish I could do that again this year. :tears:
But....even if I could...I couldn't. My oldest is in the high school band, and being as how it's a Friday, they have a football game to perform at...and I'm gonna be there.
Dean will be home passing out candy (no snake for him!! LOL) and the boys will go out candy-mooching. My youngest will be wearing a black-widow costume I made a few years ago...it's really cool and I'm thrilled it's lasted long enough to be passed on! And my middle love will be dressed as a giant pink whoopie cushion! It's hilarious!

Re: Halloween!
My mom told me once that when I was little and went out trick-or-treating, some grouchy old lady just dumped the whole bowl of candy into my bag xD
I wish I remember it. Sounded sweet /pun :P
Maaaybe I'm not to old to smooze off some candy :P I'm insanely proud of my costume this year (it's totally decked out in real bones, I have a cat skull sewn to the lapel of my jacket and everything :D) so perhaps I might end up coming home with a bag or two of sugary goodness in my hand
