Perhaps she just likes it there? And you may want to replace the flexwatt because if it isn't working that's a pretty bad thing.

Unless you are in a very warm area, your snakes need some type of heat. You should really replace the Flexwatt.

And if you're going to need to buy new Flexwatt, I would suggest getting a bit more than you need so that this doesn't happen again.

Females bowl wrap during breeding season. I assume they do this to help with producing follicles.

buddy i "get" the bowl wrapping i just dont get why your flexwatt isnt working. dont ask questions if youre going to be a pain about it. i dont know how "elite" your herps can be without any heat and a keeper without much of a brain.

Seems as though your questions was already answered.

It could also just be where she wanted to be.

It could be that bowl is warmer than the rest of the cage because the water is holding heat? I wouldn't think its a sign of anything at this stage. Males wrap the bowls too.

P.S. Get that flex-watt working, it shouldn't just stop working.

I agree about the flexwatt. It shouldn't just stop working im sure you checked but make sure the connectors they may need to be re crimped. or maybe your t stat isn't working. Just a though and as for bowl wrapping I have seen my males do it before.
