PC gamers of BP.net: Let's play!

This thread can be for chatting about PC gaming and finding out who plays what, so we can play the online multiplayer ones together.

Right now, as far as multiplayer online, I've been mostly playing TF2 and DoD:S. I fire up JO once in awhile, but it's getting a little dated.

Can't wait until Fallout 3 comes out, and Left 4 Dead from Valve. I love this time of year. All the long awaited, awesome games start getting released for the X-mas shopping rush!

So BP.net, what are YOU playing?

Too bad WoW isn't on the list...

I used to play Counter strike and WOW but I'm more into the Console stuff now.

I read a few reviews of that, sounds really good. Some people are going so far as calling it the "WoW killer". They say it pretty much takes everything people liked about WoW, fixes the things people don't like, and adds even more on top of that.

Personally, I'm not really into the MMO's. Don't want to pay the monthly fee. Most of the online games I play are FPS. I like the large scale (32+ players) team-based FPS games with vehicles and huge maps like Joint Ops (even though it's getting old there are still a few good servers). Most RPGs I play are singleplayer offline ones.

Right now the only PC game I'm playing is The Witcher. Its been a pretty fun game; I still need to finish it but Fable II came out and I've been hooked on that.

I play some WoW, but I have not had much time in last few months to even get an hour in.
In the past I was big on Star Wars Galaxies until they screwed it up.

I ran a CSS Clan for over a year. I just gave up my Position as founder and leader a couple months ago. Too much for me to deal with, and I was getting sick of the game.

I don't do a lot of gaming anymore. I used to be really hooked on Everquest, before EQ2 came out.

Recently though, I can't justify paying any monthly gaming fees, so I occasionally get on and play Last Chaos (free MMORPG) and I reinstalled Guild Wars last weekend...

I agree, can't wait for L4D! We'll have to play together once it comes out. It seems like they are really putting an emphasis on co-op play. There was a whole article in this months EGM about co-op play becoming more and more requested and popular for new games.

My friends and I have been following this game since it was first announced under development by TurtleRock Studios (before Valve bought them out). We have a whole LAN planned around this next month ..

WARHAMMER! I am in lovelove!!! its so much better than wow.... then again I did play Dark age of Camelot so it goes hand in hand... :rolleyes:. I also just got Quake Wars Enemy Territory as a random gift and it isn't bad... its kinda hard though. And as my last but deffinatly not my least favorite... SPORE!!!!!! I love that game!

SPORE is good, but it doesn't have my attention as much as other games do, but I will support the creativity of it .. and I bought the game, but it will not be one of my most played games.

WoW. Dragonblight server, For the Horde!

I've got a couple 70s, just grinding around right now stockpiling gold for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion next month.

Aside from the fees, my other main turn-off in regard to MMOs is the grinding. I don't see how you guys do it. I would be soooooo bored killing a million baddies just waiting for that one special drop. I did the free WoW trial, but it just didn't hold my attention. Another thing is I always played solo. I imagine the social aspect is a huge part of the fun, and I kinda missed out on that.

I just got into it. I have done 3 free trial, each time I left going "meh, it's not my kind of game", but the social aspect is a big draw right now. I have friends at work that play, and they run a guild. I really appreciate WoW community aspect, and the special events and times of year.

Hallows End is going on right now and there is a zombie invasion. Stuff like that just adds spice and life to a game that is hard to find in any other genre.

Battlefield 2 is where it's at... I used to play a ton of it, along with CS but only play from time to time nowadays...

I've gotten into WarHammer....it's really cool. I'm looking forward to future expansions and hope they include some old DAOC features like owning your own houses that you can decorate and buying extra storage and such. I had SO much fun playing the merchant and getting filthy rich in DAOC. :P Was never a very potent RvR sort...but could rock the trading world. LOL

Even with WarHammer's limited trading system, and my as-yet-beginner status, I'm already raking in multiple gold.

Never played WoW, so I can't compare it....but I can say that if you like MMO's, then WarHammer is totally worth a few dollars a month. It's far more quest oriented with fascinating storylines for all realms and races....very little slogging through tons of common mobs. It is also set up in a way that makes it easy for even the newbiest of characters to get decent gear for their level and start earning money right away.

I havn't played these games in like months now apart from Far Cry 2. Im just bored of gaming now.

Just bought Fallout 3. You guys might not see much of me for awhile because I'm addicted!!! Take TES: Oblivion, put it in a post-apacolyptic nuclear war setting, add a ton of awesome new features, and you get Fallout 3. Bethesda is one of my favorite game publishers. They never let me down!

Anyone else pick it up yet?

Thanks for that - my boyfriend used to LOVE Oblivion, and he has been thinking about getting FO3. I will pass that on to him. :gj:

Well, when I get a chance I play Archlord and Dungeon Runners which are both free MMOs. I usually play them with the boyfriend as he's more into mmos then I am. He usually plays Vanguard but he's at top level and there is no way I could catch up. lol Plus I don't like paying for the monthly fees either.

my husband plays them all

I only play console games (because we have a giant TV and can play together in comfort)

Right now we're most of the way through Dead Space and GTA4 on PS3.

I'm not a big gamer but a few friends of mine did get me playing and hooked on FFXI over a year ago. I tried WOW out, but could not get in to it so back to FFXI I went.
