Re: bad videogame portrayal
What did you expect really? It's a hunting game... the object is to shoot animals.

Sure is. :gj:
Re: bad videogame portrayal
Why would it make you feel worse to kill snakes than other living creatures?

Re: bad videogame portrayal
I am surprised PETA doesn't protest the making of these types of games lol. I am a deerhunter fan myself. That games cool. Too lazy to hunt for real though I will stick to target shooting at he range.

UMMMMMMMM......
It is a hunting game.....
I believe in the unlikely event that t herp will be chasing you down in the woods you would kill it...
So don't get upset because you have to kill one animal during the course of the game. Isnt that why you bought it. and If you don't like the game sell it or give it to a friend.
Thanx for letting us know though I am sure there are some who would like the game but would not like to have to kill a snake. So thanx for the PSA.

There is a big difference between hunting an animal and randomly killing things as you walk through the woods. Maybe we should be asking if the hunter in the game had a valid cobra license and if he stayed within the bag limit?
Re: bad videogame portrayal
It's pretty bad.
I just watched a gameplay vid on youtube and there are elephants running and the guy is shooting the scared one in the face with a big handgun.
Re: bad videogame portrayal
There are video games where you shoot humans too
Re: bad videogame portrayal
Ok.. it's a video game.
There are lots of video games that involve shooting animals and people. Snakes included. One of my favorite games involves killing horses.. and I love horses. But I realize that it's a game, and I don't take it seriously.
Because I play a game, doesn't mean I'm going to go out and do that in real life. If anyone uses video games as a guidance, they shouldn't be allowed in public in the first place for lack of common sense. (Of course depending on the situation).

Agreed. It's just a game. Blaming video games for causing people to do harmful and violent things in real life is just that, a blame game. Anytime something bad happens people need something to blame. God forbid anyone take responsibility for their actions these days. If someone plays this hunting game and thinks it's OK to go out and harm snakes, or any animal, they obviously have psychological issues that were present long before ever playing a fictional game.
I'm very well capable of slaying zombies and villains in video games, and still be a responsible, well adjusted member of society. Though some may disagree with that last part. ;)
Re: bad videogame portrayal
i think id rather play the ones you can shoot the humans instead of defensless animals lol. got to love gta, saints row and call of duty4 =) lol
