    Hi,

What day are the eggs on and what are the temps? I don't know enough to help you but the info might let others give better answers. :)

Albinos look white and yellow in the egg. You can almost always see the yellow pattern if looking at the back of the snake. If you only made a very small hole in the egg and can't see much, it's possible that you might only be looking at the belly which is white. What do the scales look like?

i can see a good potion of the snake and its ALL whitish pink color almost like an ivory or snow or something. the temps are 88-90. the lil guy is def alive cuz its wiggling around in there. I CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT! AH!

Yes it can look white if you are early cutting eggs. I had it happen this year when I had two thermometors malfunction and dropped temps in my incubator. I cut on day 54 and had a white snake with no pattern. That clutch went 62 days and color and pattern did gradually come in more and more every day.

At day 56 I would expect at the least a very faint yellow pattern, unless temps are actually lower. Just keep watching it and you'll see the color and pattern come in. Also, maybe you have a faded albino in there, but you will still see it come in.

For the record mine was from a DH VPI snow clutch so imagine my disappointment when the pattern and color started to come in. The albino turned out killer looking and is a keeper. Keep us posted.

If you had 2 het albino parents and you see a pretty whitish snake..I would guess it is an albino.

    pics would be nice. ;)

With my clutch last year I thought I had only one poss het parent so I wasn't expecting a white/yellow snake to poke his head out. When Jeff and I candeled them about a week prior to them hatching he told me that he saw a white snake in the egg but i thought he just wasn't getting a good view of the snake. He said it just looked white in the egg with very little pattern. He was right...it was an albino.

Anyway...good luck and can't wait to see!

    :gj:

*the one in my avi is the albino I got. It had a very light pattern. Also...the babies have a pink hue at birth but it goes away.

i know all i can expect is an albino but this is my first albino clutch so it was just weird when i couldnt see ANY pattern on the lil guy. all the rest are PH albino normals but i cant be disappointed cuz i got 6/6 live and something white HAHA i dont have a camera sorry mine got full of sand over the summer :sigh2:

today is day 61 and last time i saw movement was day 56, but those are the only 2 times i have really checked on him for movement. yesterday when i looked inside i could see his head which i couldnt see before so i know hes been moving around but he didnt do any squirming like before. yesterday everybody else was blowin bubbles and chillin wit their heads out

Re: whats a albino in the egg look like
so a lil update on this. out of the 5 ph albinos 2 of them are axanthic looking. i mean NO brown or yellow. you can tell them from the rest with no problem and everyone has shed. So i tried to trace back the family tree of genes and found out some pretty interesting stuff... so the albino father was from bob clark and he has a line of albinos that have been popping out some REALLY axanthic looking "normals" but no one has tried anything with them. i think im gonna hold back one of the boys and put him back to mama next season. snow anyone? haha
