What makes you happy?

In the spirit of being positive, I'd like to know...

What makes you happy?? :)

This may be sad, but the one thing that truly makes me happy is seeing all my snakes eat:)

AND

Watching steve irwin
Seeing wild herps
getting new reptiles
and mythbusters

Most importantly my husband! :gj:

What makes me happy?

A good cigar and a popping fire in the fire place.
Fly fishing to the setting sun and the sound of whiperwills.
A good book and a glass of wine.
Finishing a project.

Watching my children in everything they do, from playing in the band to running track or just when my youngest acts like a goof-ball. ;)

Driving - preferably on a road course, or mountains on a nice sunny day. Partner stunting also usually puts me in a good mood, as long as I'm not having an off day. Watching my animals makes me happy as well.

Watching my children sleep.
Taking a walk on a nice day.
Eating a spoonful of chocolate chip cookie dough.
Watching a sunset.
Just thinking about how truly blessed I really am. *happysigh*

Anytime I'm with my husband I'm happy.

My family ... I love them.

My friends ... I'd be lost without them.

My ball pythons ... they keep me sane.

In that order, but you can exchange the second parts with any of the first parts and it still works out. :)

I always think that certain things will make me happy. Buying something I've always wanted, taking a much needed vacation, etc. While those things are nice, I've found that I'm the most happy and at peace when the relationships in my life are right. I've decided that life is all about relationships. My relationship with God, my family, my friends, my co-workers, etc.

If that was not the kind of answer you were looking for then warm weather, bbq, horseshoes, and a swimming pool. :D

Seeing my snakes hiss and strike at me, cause I know they've got attitude. And I must taste pretty darn good. :rofl:

Holding my animals, seeing them thrive.

Being with my boyfriend and being able to just let the time go, and fall asleep.

Going out into nature and letting our legs take us anywhere, just to see where we end up.

Reading a good book, and almost crying at the end because it was just that good and you can't believe it's over.

Not feeling sick, even if its just for a little while.

My husband, and bird feathers on my cheek.

Being at my ranch and standing up on the ridge, with the wind blowing all my stuff away.
Starry nights.
Rain drops.
Dancing.
Singing along to the guitar at night and outside.
Being content and at peace with who I am.
Watching my kids grow up and raise their kids.
Being special to someone.
Living simply.
Simply living.
Random acts of kindness.
Peace.
The still of the twilight.
....there is just so much that brings me happiness...

Spending time with my girlfriend, My family, BP.net, all my animals...

Food makes me happy...
Puppies...
Kittens...
Polite People...:colbert2:
Learning new languages/cultures...:handshake
Snakies of course...:snake:
A good book series, preferably about dragons and/or magic :reading::nerd:

what makes me happy:

Natural beauty (cosmos, flora, fauna, patterns, rocks, landscapes, seasons, fresh air from the forests, beaches, mountains and grassy plains, animal sounds, storms etc.)

Laying in the grass and staring into space, and feeling myself cling to the edge of a giant, moving rock and wondering about how i'm not floating away

Laying close to someone that i love and who loves me, and sharing affection with them

The way my dog smells

My precious animals

Baby smiles

Cuddling up under blankets on the couch when it's cold

Harmonized voices

Connecting to others (animals and humans)

Reading about what makes other people happy and realizing that, for all of our differences, we aren't so different after all :)

Hmmm....

Looking up at the sky through a gorgeous, proud, old tree. (most likely my favorite view ever)
Undisturbed nature.
Knowing who I am and being comfortable with that (that took some time ^_^ )
Making progress towards a goal, however big or small it may be.
Relaxing and hanging out with friends and family.

And I'm assuming in about 2 years, getting my braces off will make me pretty happy! :D

Deep, abiding joy ----> God, my hubby, my children and the rest of our family...

Day to day happy feelings ----> Genuine compliments from people I care about and/or respect. Kittens!!! Shopping, handling snakes, taking trips to fun places, long drives, beautiful skies, dramatic storms, autumn leaves....and so much more!

Walking through the woods on a sunny fall afternoon with all the leaves changing color.

My Son bringing home his first report card with all A's on it. I always knew he could do it, he just needed a little faith in himself.

Weekends with my family where nobody has to be anyplace and we can just hang out at home and enjoy each others company.

Playing with my snakes and turtles.

Playing catch with my dog.

Enjoying good beer and conversation with friends.

Good cigar, some good scotch and watching the sun set
a good book next to a fire when it's cold out
being with really good old friends


I'm also greedy so also MONEY :D

comming home to see my wife and kids all happy and enjoying life. looking at my 2 goofy dogs and watching then smile droolfully lol and knowing that God has another purpose for this planet and people and death is not the only option

Seriously? Backpacking through the wilderness... that's as good as it gets.

This is such a positive thread. I am really enjoying it.

I'd have to say spending time with my SO. Especially watching how he makes our 3 dogs so happy & vice versa (previous partners did not care much for my dogs).

Being able to help others in need.

Watching all of the creatures I share my life with thrive.

Eating Indian food, and having iced Chai tea latte at Starbuck's (ok that's just a temporary high really, but I still reeeaally like it). :D

Being the first person to walk through the doors of the reptile show;)

Leaving the reptile show with enough money to pay for gas to get home:)
