Jess' Tinley Adventure
Well, it was really fun, but quite interesting. I only got a couple of pictures, but I'll post them anyway. There isn't a bad thing I could say about anyone I met. :]
Kara was awesome. We sat there talking about dressage and snakes for like 10 minutes. She was an absolute sweetheart, and I definitely know where I'm going to get my blood from!
Tim and Monica Bailey were also great, with amazing animals. Which you will see in my other thread.
BHB. I can't even go into how long I hung around there. I asked for breeding combos with corns from Lori and eventually got two good picks, one of which I didn't get, but I got something else instead. I bugged Chewy a lot, and me and JonV have a chance of being on Snakebytes, so look for the blue hat! Me and Erin also talked a lot and we went around aweing at all of the ball python morphs. Me holding a pied for the first time was like gold.
I did not see Jimi or Connie. These both made me very sad. :[
Here are the pictures I got!
Don't ask me what everything is.. a lot of the balls are the BHB 'not for sale table' but I might remember some.

Re: Jess' Tinley Adventure
In the first pic, on the upper left hand corner, is that a silver bullet?:O

SURE IS!
Me and Erin didn't know what it was made out of.. so we guessed Champagne x Axanthic. We asked Chewy and we were right.
It was a shining experience.

Re: Jess' Tinley Adventure
Actually, if it's a silver bullet then its a Super Cinnamon/Pastel. I think Chewy might have been messing with ya. ;)

Re: Jess' Tinley Adventure
I was impressed with the shear size of Twiggy. Man that thing was huge. And that Chondro Coalition table really made me want an arboreal snake of some sort.

Hmm. Maybe. Lori was standing next to him though and had no objections.
What would be a Champ x Axanthic cross?

Yeah, I talked to that guy for a while about Mr Blue. It was a pretty cool setup.

As far as I know, it hasn't been produced yet. This is really the first year that a lot of champagne crosses are being produced. I do however remember that one episode of Snakebytes where they quizzed Chewey on ball python morphs, and he was guessing at most of them. Great guy, but he doesn't seem to be real into ball pythons. I do know his job at BHB is to handle the colubrid hatchlings, and I know he loves to mess around.

This is true, he probably had no idea so just agreed.
He knows more than you think though, a lot of that Snakebytes stuff is setup too. :]
Who knows, but then it's probably the silver bullet, cause I remember that name. It was still a super neat cross.

Nice pics Jess! Sounds like you had a blast! I know I would have if I got to bring 6 new babies home :P

Oh don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying he's stupid. You can't work at someplace like BHB for as long as he has and not pick things up. I was just saying he's never really come across to me as being someone who's gotten caught up in the ball python craze. And yes, that does look like a silver bullet. ;) Although an axanthic champagne actually would look pretty similar -- but champagnes usually have a little bit of blotchiness here and there along their bodies. Being that axanthic doesn't really affect the pattern, I would assume an axanthic champagne would still have the blotches.

Good stuff.
Part of the reason we thought it was champagne x axanthic is because, in comparison to another champagne, it DID look blotchy. So we were like, wait what?
Connie,
If you were in front of the BHB table, it would be in the upper left corner. In my picture it's in the upper right corner because I'm behind the table.
