Calculate the odds on THIS CLUTCH!!!!!
My last morph female clutch of the season laid 8 eggs from a Pewter and Bumble Bee bred to a Pastel and produced:

    1.1 Normals
    1.0 Super Pastels
    1.2 Bumble Bees
    and 1.0 KILLER BEES AND... 1.0 STERLINGS:banana::banana::banana:

I an not sure how to factor in the split clutch and hitting BOTH males. Producing either in the clutch is 1 in 16. COMBO CLUTCHES BEEN VERY. VERY GOOD TO ME!!! https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...0750_thumb.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...0751_thumb.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...0768_thumb.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...0765_thumb.jpghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...0767_thumb.jpg

Congrats, very nice clutch. Does the killer have a ringer? The pattern looks distorted towards the tail. Correction on your odds it's a 1 in 8 chance of hitting a killer or sterling when a pewter or bee is bred to a pastel.

You are correct on the odds. The 1 in 16 was factoring both genders. I.E. -- If the eighth egg was a female, you would statistically have to go to egg 16 to get the male -- in theory.:)

The Killer has a very "scattered" pattern over the last third of his body. Kind of looks "Pinstripish". Maybe that is how a ringer presents on a Killer? Thanks for the kind words.;)

Amazing...I love the Sterling and the Super and the Killer Bee and the bumble bees...

    CONGRATS!

I should not leave out the normals... the ones from a clutch like this somtimes have some unusual characteristics to be seen later...

The end of my year has been pretty great. Between this clutch, the Butter Belly clutch -- and in between those two I hatched a couple Fireflies which proved a captive hatched Fire male.:D

I have had a few "rough" clutches as well.:( A Bee x Pastel clutch of six eggs produced 2 Normals, 3 male Pastels, and a Killer Bee that was mildly kinked, didn't fully absorb his yolk, and died in the egg. I made the mistake of popping HIM!!!! Of course it was a male!! I guess it does even out in the end.;) I have learned during my first year breeding not to count your morphs/combos before they are hatched.:colbert:

Best of luck to everyone in the upcoming season!!!:gj:

That is the first time I have thought about adding sex to the odds. Thanks now you just added to my odds calculations...LOL
So Sex ( Male and Female ) is decided by the father correct. So you can add a gene that represents sex to the punnett square for the father which would double the total number of possible outcomes.
So instead of Pastel X Pastel giving you:
    1/4 normal
    2/4 Pastels
    1/4 Super
    You can now say:
    1/8 M Normal
    1/8 F Normal
    2/8 M Pastel
    2/8 F Pastel
    1/8 M Super
    1/8 F Super
