Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
The body looks like a champagne pied but with the neck of a mojave

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
I like the "frosting" effect behind the head! Very cool indeed! Thanks for sharing!

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
:O Wow those are amazing! That's definitely one of my favorite pied combos I've seen yet :D Thanks for sharing! :gj:

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
I don't want to trump the Mojo pied... but my new favorite pied combo is the Desert Pied. Hands down!

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
very pretty. I like the frosted look as well. I wonder if all mojo pieds would be high white like this or would there be more variability to the degree of white per snake. anybody venture to guess? :D

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
I think the Vin Russo Pied was high white and the Lesser Pied was all white so it seems likely that the white snake gene some how encourages the homozygous pied to be high white. The spider pied seems to also be consistently high white with a longer track record but spider doesn't appear to be part of the white snake complex as far as I know (has anyone posted results from spider mojave to normal breedings yet?). So I would expect that while anything is possible the mojave pieds might be consistently high white like these three.
Also, anyone know what the coconut pied in the available and what's happening page on www.roussisreptiles.com is? I just heard about it and don't know if he is keeping it secrete or not.
I’m actually still really excited about all white snakes (although these Mojave pieds are very nice) and the whiter the better so am very interested in working toward an all pied white snake.

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
Sooooo pretty! I love love it! So if you were to breed this little one to a normal you would be able to get mojos, pieds, and normals?

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
I like it! I'm glad all the BEL complex animals seem to have different looks when combined with the pied....

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
It's interesting how the characteristics of the mojo are totally changed with the pied gene. I thought it would look more like a mojo, but instead it has that uniform soft tone to it! Interesting!

I have a theory regarding the spider pied. Genetically speaking Pied is a for of Leucism . My theory is that the white sides on a spider are also a form of Leucism and that the two forms work together to form a mostly white snake.

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
These are homozygous pied and heterozygous mojave so when bred to a normal all the babies will be het pied but each will have a 50% chance of also being mojave.
Care to post any pictures of the mojave het pied father? If mojave makes the homozygous pied more white I'm wondering if it has an effect on the heterozygous pied. Of course the mojave belly is already white so maybe it's harder to pick a mojave het pied than even a normal het pied.

I agree Justin, I assumed it would look like the lesser pied.
It does remind me of your yellowbelly pied that comes out high white and very clean colors where they do show up. very interesting.
Thanks for sharing Heather, I havent seen Becky in a while and I came close to buying a mojave pos het pied from her, now I wish I would have:(

Nope.
Mojo Pied to a Normal would get you Normals and Mojaves 100% het for Pied

I would have to ask... I can see what I can do.

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
Nice!! I wouldn't have thought to cross those two but since I am working with het pieds and mojave's maybe someday!!
-
Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
Nice but I'd put it last on the pied combo list.
-
Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
Well, no offense to anyone, but, I'm a tad disappointed. I thought pied mojaves would be the most gorgeous combo out there. They're still gorgeous in their own right, just not what I was expecting.

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
Thanks for the link to the description LadyOhh. 2007! Either I'm not paying attention or I'm senile as I didn't remember that at all. Wonder if he has figured out more about what is going on yet. Is the father het pied plus something else like lesser that lets pied go ultra high white or could both the mother and father be some variation of fire?

Re: The Mojave Pied!!!
nice, but all these pieds look the same to me
