She eats and sheds, just doesn't grow much.
She just had 2 adult mice Saturday and is going into shed again.
Very frustrating watching her over the past few years HOPING she would all of a sudden get a growth spurt.

I thought my Aug 07 female was tiny (she just hit 350g)...
How much does your girl weigh? Did you produce her?

That stinks dude. I'm sure she cost a pretty penny in '06 too! I have a fairly slow growing cinny, but i'm lucky with the others.

WOW!!!! She is small! She's gorgeous though!

Re: This has to be the smallest 2006 female around
If you want to see her gain some size you've got to get her to start feeding on small rats. For some reason a BP that is feeding on rat pups for example is very noticebly larger in gerth than a mouse eater. I promise you she will grow then, she does look good though. Keep us posted.

That's not always true - volume for volume, there really isn't a difference. The bulk of my females I raised as mousers. They averaged 100 grams a month in weight gain their first year.
I now only feed rats, but that's because I'm breeding rats and not mice. Not because I felt one was better than the other.
Steve, have you ever taken in a fecal sample on her to test for internal parasites?

Yes but it didn't show anything.
That was a year ago. Maybe time to have another one done.

Don't feel to bad my 06 female mojave has never broke 700 grams she is such a picky eater. But I think with the ASF's I got her number now. :D Best of luck with that girl.

Re: This has to be the smallest 2006 female around
I got a '06 Hypo that just hit the 600 mark. But my worst female is a '04 normal that also just passed 600 g.
But I think that some grow slow and some grow faster and when it comes to breeding age is more important than weight.
But I'm not breedning those two, just so you know :)
