A Super surprise!!!

Well, my other clutch( egg ) that I have been waiting on fully hatched yesterday. After getting 3 Super Pastels from 5 eggs, I was hoping to beat the odds with this single fertile egg and I did, just not the way I had expected. I bred my Yellowbelly male to the Pastel mother of this clutch several times and put my Pastel male to her once. The Pastel won out on this one as a pretty little Super female crawled out yesterday. I can't complain, I would like to have hatched a YB Pastel, but 2.2 Super Pastels out of a total of 6 eggs is way more than I could have asked for and I am very thankfull for that.

I am very pleased with how nice the Supers from both females turned out. Now I will keep my fingers crossed that they will make some nice Fireflies next year.

Thanks a lot everyone! Hatching these Supers out has been awesome. The time has actually flown by since I purchased my original pastel male 3 1/2 years ago up till now where I have accomplished my goal of producing my own Super Pastels.

I have had to do this herping thing on a tight budget, but I just chose a few select animals to work with and didn't over extend myself. By keeping it fun and mangable I have had some descent success with my "little" group. Seeing the accomplishments of others motivates me to reach for that level and serves as inspiration for future breedings. Being a part of this board and sharing my successes and failures( chondro clutch:mad: ) is an important part of the hobby for me and I want to thank you all for your feedback.
