I posted a thread yesterday about how I had gotten another BP. After I had already decided not to get anymore until next year. And it got me to wondering. What is the most Bp's you have ever purchased in a single year? Let's use Jan. Through Dec. as a time frame. Any year. The key word is purchased. This should not include snakes hatched or traded for even up.

I bought 2 this year... one died from a RI and parasite. Now I'm considering buying more. All these pics of new snakes has made me want about a dozen more.

Only 1 snake a year for me.
I believe a waiting period between new animals is crucial. It prevents impulse buying and also allows you to pay close attention and bond with each animal before getting distracted again. It also simplifies QT.

10 this year for me....and i'm done til '09!.....probably;)LOL

I checked 20-30 which is roughly what we picked up our first year when we decided to start breeding -- but that didn't include the unsorted lots of ch babies that we picked up as well - not sure if those would really count or not.

Well Bps...... 6 this year lol. Snakes in general....... 16 this year :D (including the BPs). Don't worry everything goes through at least a 30 day QT at my girlfriends house before they come home but I'm already looking at getting another rack for my balls.

Still 2 months to go too!

We'll I've only been in this for 2 years and I'm up to 30. This year i bought 21.

well if i don't count the ones i got for presents. Its only like 20 i think i got 7 normal females, a butter, albino,3 het albino females, a pinstripe and a bunch more i can't remember when we bought everything i have the records but I would have to get on the old computer and check.i know the better half of our collection has come into our house this year. heck i don't even know what the totals are right now. My husband has already set up several deals that we haven't picked up yet

Not including the ones I hatched out, last year I bought 24 females from one guy alone. I bought about 15 others from other people. With those 24 females I should have 40+ females breeding this year.....I cannot wait.

I think I bought somewhere near 80 last year....:rolleye2:

I got number 10 this last week a soon to be 0.1 breeder pastel from Stickytoungs and get my 11th an 0.1 8ball spider this weekend at tinley :rolleye2:

THis makes me think how much I have spent this year :O

Going for the 15th very soon. I think that'll be it for the year, though. I only have space for hatchlings now.

I only have one so far but have been looking at some breeders online who have morphs for sale. Actually, this will give me a great opportunity to ask some of you if you can recommend any good reputable breeders from whom I can buy? Any suggestions?

Ok I have to change my vote I picked up 45 in the 2009 year and plan to pick up another 30 this year.

Ive been keeping bp's since Jan 14th 2009 and I have 8.... well 7 but 8th is paid for and waiting for warmer weather DAMN COLD SNOW!!!! but yeah I plan to have about 15 or so by the end of the year. who wants to pay bills and such when you can get something that last so much longer and are much cooler!
