Incubator
Well my fiance was nice enough to buy me an early B-day present and my natures spirit incubator will be here tomorrow. Anyone else rock this incubator? Easy set up? Easy to maintain temps/humidity? Any tips, troubleshooting, problems? All help is welcome.

Re: Incubator
I am waiting for Fed Ex to deliver mine sometime this week. I'm very excited. It was very highly recommended to me by two well-known breeders, and I've read on this forum and others that it's the way to go. If I remember correctly, someone incubated 50 eggs in one, and only 2 eggs did not make it (& he said it was his fault for not positioning them correctly).
I guess I'll know more once I have it in my hands. But I haven't even started pairing my snakes yet, so I have a while to figure out the quirks.

Re: Incubator
Heres a pic of my Incubator i use
Turned an old Refrig . I found it to be a perfect yet inexpensive way to make an incubator ..not to mention you get 100x more space then your typical bought incubators ...

Re: Incubator
I rock two of them, myself and have a Helix on both. I use larger tubs, so I get 6/8 clutches at a time with room for air to circulate. I'll dig up pics when I get home. I love them, although here in Cali we don't have to worry so much about insulation. Rumor has it they cannot take a large gradient between room temp and incubating temp....
Cheers,
Kat

Re: Incubator
Its nice, but thats a hefty price for an incubator. is it really worth it?

Re: Incubator
I got mine today. No pics yet..sorry. I got the Spyder Tstat.
I decided to pay a bit more because I am not handy & I have about 6-8 clutches planned this year & I liked the hatch rate for this incubator.

Re: Incubator
Took about a week to get, Im sure the later you wait to order the longer it may take to get since this is the time of year everyone is ordering them.

Re: Incubator
I have two of them (that I use for leopard geckos, and will use for BP in the future.) They are incredibly awesome incubators!! I also use the Helix to control the temp. The only thing you need to do is to put something (I used deli cups with sand in them) to help difuse the air from the fan. Casey makes a great incubator. ;)
