interesting snake....help with indentification?
Hi,
I saw this snake at a local store and I wanted to know what it was. They have a lot of interesting stuff there. I thought it was some kind of rat snake, black rat or rat/corn hybrid, or a darker and larger than normal corn? Any ideas as to what it is? it's in blue so that might make it harder to tell.

Well, it definitly has some rat snake in it. Its hard to tell since it is in shed, but it may be a hybrid.
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
Larger picture maybe? Of the whole body?
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
unfortunately those were the best pics I got. I can try to get better ones when I go back to the store. He's open until 8 today so i was thinking of running back over there.
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
oh yes, and I forgot to mention that from what I saw, the eyes are brown and the guy is selling him for $50.
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
Did you try asking what it was? ;)
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
yes i did. He said the supplier sold it to him as a red corn snake, but even he thinks it's a hybrid or some other rat snake.
I think it might have been a texas ratsnake, as someone had suggested it might be and now after looking at more pictures, i think they might be right.
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
its an asian rat snake i held one at a show they are really cool but no it is definately not a texas rat or black rat. =]
Re: interesting snake....help with indentification?
