Crested ID?
I was wondering if one of you experienced Crested keepers could let me know what morph this lil guy is (if any). I know about their basic care needs, but am unfamiliar with the differenct color and pattern morphs. This pic was taken in a temp (3 hours) tank, and is not what he will be kept in. Thanks!

Re: Crested ID?
Looks like a Harlequin to me.

Re: Crested ID?
A very pretty harley :)
But probably Emily could tell you the best.

Re: Crested ID?
I'm new to Cresties, but I would say flame. He has a little of the Harlequin traits on the limbs, but not enough to call him a harle in my book. Very pretty either way!

Re: Crested ID?
It is a partial pinstripe flame, although depending on how old it is, it may get more patterning on its sides and limbs as it matures and become more of a harley.

Re: Crested ID?
White fringe, partial pinstripe, and harley. Crested geckos have th ability to be several morphs at once. If the underside of the mouth is red it is called a Bluster. Regardless of morphs it is a very nice looking gecko that could give you nice babies if you decide to breed.

Re: Crested ID?
nice flame with some pin dashing. i dont think he qualifies as harley. he has some patterning on the sides and legs but it seems very faint to me. i dont know if you guys are really into cresties but im pretty sure this wouldnt fly as a harley on pangea forums, which is where i really hang out. nice structure though.
and shimmer, i believe the term for geckos who have that pinky/red on their throats is blusher. man i love a nice blusher.

Re: Crested ID?
Here's a good basic morph guide, it's kind of tricky to understand the differences between harleys, flames, and pinstripes at first just from looking at pictures of each one, you really have to see pictures and read the breeder-created definitions.
http://www.pangeareptile.com/morphs_colors.htm
The definitions for those 3 morphs are kind of like the definitions used in breed standards for cats and dogs, and not just names of single-gene mutations as is most common with ball pythons.

Re: Crested ID?
That is a fire/flame. And I am really sure about that.

Re: Crested ID?
Yeah harley's have crazy amounts of leg patterns and side patterns, so I don't think it's a Harley.

Re: Crested ID?
Flame - not enough pinning to be considered a partial pin. It has nice head structure. Can't see under the thoat to see if it is a blusher? Also was the pic taken during the day or at night? They fire up at night and that is the best time to take their pics.
