What do you do in your spare time?

So every night after i'm all finished up for the day I find myself getting really bored. I used to play pythonkings a lot and I read a lot, but as the winter approaches I continue finding myself increasingly more bored. Anyone have suggestions to entertain myself? Internet based? Home based? anyone?

I know its pretty unoriginal, but personally, I'm either surfing the web and the forums, watching TV, or reading a good novel.

Free time??? What's that? :D

Goodness me I wish I had free time. If it is windy, I am out on the water kiteboarding, if not I usually catch up on homework (my life is boring).

I am on here or kingsnake looking for the next catch lol. Also browsing 8ball, bhb, casey lasik, etc. lol.

My spare time other than homework involves..
Reading about snakes... and other books.
Checking on this forum.
Playing games like Okami, ZT2, and.. WoW.. (I have too many guys friends.. they cornered me into it! D: )
Being with friends or my boyfriend.
Taking out my snakes.
Walking my dog.
Watching movies. (I don't have cable TV).
Sleeping.
Occasionally going to the stable with my good friend and riding. (once a week or so).

I was a Pharmacy major for 4 years and just switched into Toxicology this fall so I spend my free time studying. yeaaaa!!! I can't wait to graduate.

Well, if we're talking indoor activities, besides the obvious net-surfing, I read a lot, play video games (currently addicted to Sims 2 and Harvest Moon- cheesy I know), watch movies, play board games, play with my mini-zoo.... I think that's about it. Well, as far as the family friendly forum needs to know, anyways.

I usually sew, draw, or watch movies. LOTS of movies.

Cleaning snake poop or cleaning rodents...

I spend some of it with my 3 little brothers, and some of it with my boyfriend.

I used to spend a lot of time reading, but not so much anymore. I do spend a lot of time writing stories though - heck, I even do that when I'm not technically on "free time" when I'm at work.

And ... well I work about 60-75 hours a week at least so... yea.

I fly aerobatics most of the time if I'm not on here or taking care of my snake.

I study rats, snakes, all the computer snake stuff

Play basket ball ALOT
Read even more
Watch harry potter:P

I mess with snake and rodents, then check forums. By then its time for bed. :rolleye2:

Most of my free time is spent with my girlfriend and her daughter. When we don't have her, generally we're watching something on TV. Our most recent addiction being Heroes... Neither of us followed that show, until this last weekend when we started watching it on Netflix from the beginning...

The newest thing we've picked up around here for whittling away a little free time is the new WarHammer MMORPG. It's pretty cool so far. :gj:

Ah, speaking of MMORPGs, if you like those types of games, but don't see the justification in spending the money for a subscription based game, or can't spend 8 hour blocks of time on a game like WoW will make you do, Aeriagames has some FREE MMORPGs. I started playing Last Chaos about a year ago, and still play once in a while when I feel like it...

Guild Wars is a good one, too. You have to buy the software, but there is no monthly subscription to pay. If you like TONS of content and TONS of customization for your character developement, it's a great game. My hubby loves it. A bit too complex for my tastes.

I watch tv, hang out with the gf, play online. care for the zoo, mostly the iguana, he requires the most attention. Im still working on taming him more. He is still a crazy dude.

In my spare time I play the djembe, hang with family and play Rock Band, study up on bee keeping in anticipation of the 2 colonies I'll ave this spring, build fences at the ranch in anticipation of the goats, build chicken coops in anticipation of the chickens, ready myself and the house for the new Kangal puppy this December, continual communication with the architect on our house at the ranch, take my grandson fishing, tickle my granddaughter, and on and on and on.....

If I actually had any 'spare' time, I'd probably sleep for a few hours! :P

I play CoD4 and the new MMO warhammer, study, clean cages..

ummm...I surf the web and troll various forums alot.

Of course I watch tv/movies alot too.

Lets see:

Maintain and renovate the house
Play with my daughter
Talk with the wife (more like be spoken too by the wife. :rolleyes:)
build Rat racks or Snake racks
Work on my 72 Nova frame off restoration project
Cut the grass
Clean and feed snakes and rats
Check on the forums from time to time
Yell at the daughter for watching to much T.V., Playing Wii too long, or playing on the computer too long
Tinker in the garage with other things like maintaining the lawn mower, sorting through parts, putting up shelves, better organizing the garage for the next job...

Well my boyfriend is hooked on Vanguard. So in order to get some "Us" time I decided to start playing computer games with him. But since I won't pay for Vanguard (plus he's at the top level) we found a couple free MMORPGs to play together. The one we've played the most would be Archlord. But we used to play Dungeon Runners as well. Pretty cool games, but of course I am a newbie at those kind of games so take it for what it's worth. lol

Other than that we usually clean up after the animals and then relax watching a little tv or movies he's downloaded. :)

I bought that one, installed it, played it ONCE before I had to reformat my computer and just never reinstalled it... Maybe I'll do that next time I'm bored and want to kill some time...

Handle the snake

Play with my cat
Spend a lot of time with my boyfriend
Play guitar
Sing
Photography/photoshop
Used to do Pointe Ballet, soccer, baseball and hockey before a knee injury a few years ago
That's about it:)

I have three young kids 6,3, and 8 months so there is not alot of free time right now.

When I do have it I am reading, watching football or baseball and my wife and I play WoW together.

My job comes home with me alot so alot of my free time is dedicated to CAD and running construction projects.

I work a 60 hour week, most of my time is spent with the snakes and rodents, doing a bit of contract work, academic writing/research, and we throw vernissages in our loft.

Which will change as we are moving, so not having that looming every 5 months will be a nice break.

One of the last 2 things I built (for a show) were these lights... from discarded and found objects (and snakes skins)...

This is our house at about 3 am during a vernissage. Looks like fun, but hosting 300 people over 72 hours actually is somewhat tiring. The curator isn`t 25 anymore. :)

Before I had so many snakes I use to play guitar, guide white water raft trips, and work as a fitness trainer. Now I clean rodent cages.

Whoa! Spare time? What a concept! Lol...

Well, after the 8-5ver, the homework, the cleaning (snakes, Bearded Dragons, dogs, boyfriend, etc.), & working out, I surf all the Herp forums for a while, read a book (just finished The Snake Charmer) or the latest issue of Reptiles magazine, or play some Rock Band (we should have a BP.net RB night, btw), or rent a scary movie, or maybe just watch a bit of TV (only if King of Queens, Family Guy, 30 Rock, Weeds, or House is on. Otherwise, who cares?). Weekends I'll visit all the reptile stores in the area, or shows if there are any.

I have been known to also go horseback riding, visit amusement parks, go to the beach, and go clubbing. But not often...

That looks like fun :) Social gatherings are the bomb!

You just need mores snakes... if that doesn't work start you own feeder colony. there is nothing more rewarding then feeding your snake collection rodents that you have selectively bred to the highest standards.

Since I'm not the only geek here. I am a Palladium Fantasy RPG DM, ride motorcycles (I used to race motocross at a pro level few wrecks later now I'm walking with a limp and I'm 27 and this has been about 5 years ago), work on my SRT10 planning on building it into a 1000hp monster, COD4 on xbox live, go fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, and paintball. The problem is I really don't have much time to spend time to myself so when I do I make most of it.

well i have had alot of free time lately since i had shoulder surgery and all i do is sleep and hang out on forums/classifieds day and night looking for a steal i mean a deal lmao which isnt often because i'm into carpet pythons and not balls but i really enjoy meeting new folks and putting in my useless 2 cents =)

snakes, bass guitar, friends or my girl... nitro rc... fish tanks... graphic design... forums... 1st person shooter games... music... eating... sleeping... pooping... schoooooolllll

Seriously I do church stuff, researching stuff for pet-snakes.com, and sometimes I squeeze in a video game or two. Oh and I try to get some exercise but not very good at that lately :(

World of Warcraft - hoarding gold for the upcoming expansion, picking icky leaves off hundreds of rose bushes, reading, cleaning up some sort of animal poo (snakes, rats, mice, ASFs, parrots, etc), and sitting on the couch wondering why I never manage to get anything done.

I hang with my boyfriend.... go to school and when I'm not with my boyfriend I am on this forum, even at school! I'm so bad.... I can't get a job because my school hours are insane!!!! I have no less than 8 hours a day everyday but the weekends and then I'm doing homework... I hate college. I can't keep pretending that I'm ok and just quit school and get a job. I wen't straight form highschool to college in 2 months.. I NEED A BREAK!


as for you I would try Runescape.com Its a game that I used to be obsessed with. Its almost as addicting as BP.net!
