PewterRIFFIC!

My last clutch for the year and I got pretty lucky.
2.2 Pewters
1.1 Pastels
1.0 Cinny
0.2 Normals

I tried getting this pair together last year, but my female pastel just wasn't interested. This year she gave me 10 eggs with one getting moldy after the first few days. I can't complain about the odds, though. :)

Wow! You really can't beat those odds :D. Perfect ratio of sex, better than perfect ratio of morphs lol that my friend is an amazing clutch! I hope we can do that well when we go for pewters in a year or two :gj:

Thanks! That little girl gave us a scare because she didn't come out for quite some time after the other finished. I ended up pulling her out of the egg with the yolk attached, but she absorbed it after a a couple more days. She's doing great now. :)

I'll put in a word for you to the Ball Gods. :) My luck was all over the place this year. I thought my last clutch was going to be Het Pieds, but it turns out the Cinny that I put in with her early in the season got his little ones to the eggs first. I ended up with 6 Cinnies out of 8 eggs, but they were all MALE. :cool:

Thanks! I like him as well, but I don't think I can pick a favorite. I also like the little string of five circles on the the left one. I'm going to try and get a macro shot of those five dots this weekend.

that top center pewter is the quality of animals i want to produce sometime soon.

Color wise the top right looks the best, but the pattern on the middle one is crazy!

Those pewters have such awesome variation. I really like that top middle one too. Congrats Lawrence. That really is a great clutch!

Thanks Jeremy. I shouldn't have a problem next year, since my Pewter male (that I had to buy) is eating like a horse, and will probably breed in a couple months. Thanks for the vibes though, as I catch them in a jar and save them for when it really counts.

Thanks Derek! I never expected black backs with clutch. Most of my cinnies have a lot of striping down their backs, and my pastels have patterns all over the place. I'm not sure where that black back snuck in there, but I'll take it. :)

Thanks Tim! Believe me, I really would like to keep them all. I'll probably end up keeping three, but it's going to be hard picking which one needs to go. :(
