The best way to fattin babies up fast?

I have just aquired several young 08's and they are a little on the skinny side.Does anyone know anything I don't about getting some meat on these guys?

Feed them? ...... :P

Seriously....appropriately sized meals every 5-7 days should do them just fine. :)

A lot of people try to offer food every 5 days to hatchlings for this reason. Of course, it doesn't always go as planned. Depends on the snake I guess. Some will eat til they explode and some will eat just enough to get by.

Well I'm not necessarily in a hurry I guess I'm just stressing about them..

I feed every 5 days or so as well. I've found that babies are real easy to switch to f/t. I feed then live hoppers 5-6 times and then offer f/t mice. After a couple of those they switch to rat pups pretty easy (I thaw mice and rats in same bag so the rats smell like mice).

They grow real nice when you get them to rats.

The best trick I ever learned about Ball Pythons (or any live animal for that matter, but especially BP's) is PATIENCE. Nothing happens overnight. Take a deep breath, perfect your husbandry, feed them appropriate meals, as everyone has advised you on, and enjoy them while they are small. Eventually they will grow into adults, and you'll wish they were small. The time eventually starts to fly by, and you wonder where it went.

That's the best advice that I can give that L've learned over the last 6 years.

Set them up, let them settle in. When they start eating, you won a big first step! They will grow just fine with a weekly feeding.

I already am. Maybe that's where it comes from. LOL. I think that comment made me feel older.

Another trick that I don't believe has been posted is if they refuse don't try and feed them again until the next feeding cycle comes around.

Thats when patience comes in, like Tim posted. :)
