this is why I hate people who don't under stand Ball Pythons

ok here is the story

I was on my way to give my new Ball Python a check up and guess what I couldn't find her I left the car with my mom for a few seconds and the Ball Python was gone -_- we searched all around the area and we found her about 15 mins later on the ground half beaten to death so we rushed it in to the hospital and they said his
back is broken and a few muscles where torn....so now we need a lot of money just to fix it :( I opened a fundraiser on fundable.com

How did someone get into the car?

hmmmm...what is the snake doing while you are trying to collect $300 from people?? most likely in agony?

me and my moms stupidity on leaving the lid off the contaner and leaving the doors open :mad: :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( we are never doing that again

and he is in a contaner right now we try to not handle him that much so his back won't get worse...my mom just called my dad and my mom said if we don't get the money to fix him we should put him down plus we have my other BP who has a illness soo....most likely we will put him down

The same ball python that you just started a thread about where you said that you were going to put it down because she wouldn't eat and you would not be able to afford the vet bills????

I'm going to keep most of my comments to myself but you should really consider getting a dog.

I don't get it. Can you explain what happened better? Did it escape and crawl out of the car? Did someone break into your car and steal it, then let it out and beat it? :confused:

If you expect help, you need to tell the WHOLE story and explain how it happened.

Kinda sounds like you're 100% at fault here. Sorry, but it's your responsibility. It sounds horrible and I'm sorry to hear this but you have to take responsibility for your actions.. Cant honestly expect to come on here and expect people to just give out $300..

I would not consider getting a dog if you can't afford the care for a ball python. Maybe a goldfish or guppies.

Could you post a scan of the proposed treatment report from the vet, please?

Or maybe the contact info for the vet so that donations could be sent straight to their office for treatment?

ok I wrought this to fast *takes deep breaths* ok here is what happen me and my mom where on are way to the vet when we got there we desides to leave the doors open......then we come back 2 maybe 5 mins later and the snake is gone *not the contaner* but the snake *the contaner had a lid on it..* so we searched my mom was going to leave if we didn't find it....but we did it turns out some body went into the car and got the snake and beat it half to death....we where in side for 5 little minutes plus the 15 we tryed to look for it....so my mom and I ran to the vet and they toke X-Rays and said his back was out of place *broken* we went home and left the half beaten snake in the contaner...we where going to ask my grandmother for some of the money but my grandmother does so much now we just didn't so i told my mom about the that site...so we joined and started a fundraiser to maybe help pay for it...

yeah .....it does not matter any more we are going to put down the ball python with the broken back and give some one are other ball python some one who can better take care of it......so you can forget about this my stupidity cost my Ball Python his life so I will get rid of the other one and continue with my other pets....

For people to really believe you, you need to provide proof. There are too many people out there looking for handouts and sympathy money.

Post pics of the animal, and of the vet records.

I'm not the one who wants to put it down....it's my dream to own them and become a breeder but my mom just said the hell with it we just put him down and give the other one away....

Your first post you said it didn't have a lid on it and you left the doors open and it got out, now you say you did have a lid on and someone went into your car, took it out and beat it. :weirdface

When you say "left the doors open", do you mean unlocked, or wide open?

Smells fishy to me I must say to be asking for money with so few posts and with a story that makes no sense. Forgive me if my nose deceives me but I have to say it. Usually the nose knows.

I can't say what I want to here without being banned but I'm sorry that your animals had to go through all this and please make sure that the one who is sick is taken care of by someone who knows what they are doing and that the one who "had rocks through at it" is put down humanely. This kind of thing makes me sick.

Ok so this is seriously the third or fourth post, JUST THIS MONTH of someone basically giving up on there snakes. Putting them to sleep cuz they wont eat......leaving them out in the open, where the public can see????? NOT EVERYONE LIKES SNAKES BRO!!!!! You should have recognized that.

I also dont understand if you were in the Vets office, why did you leave the snake in the car? Werent you there to take the snake anyways???? Would you leave a kid in the car if you were taking the kid to the doctors????? COME ON!!!!

no I'm not blaming my mom I blame myself.....thats just what she said....but don't forget I will still go on this site and look at other peoples snakes and stuff....I will post pictures of my Ball Python....the one thats sick. we couldn't even get pictures of the one that had to be put down....

I'm so sorry to hear about your "situation". I'll bet your mom is very upset for you too. Perhaps some day when you're a bit older you will be better prepared to own a BP. What does your mom say about the way things turned out?

she said that I was stupid one leaving the door open....she also said that that it's mostly my fault.....she never liked me any ways....she not really my mother either she is my umm well adoptive parent.....

Riokeshen, I just want you too look it at from from our perspective. 40 minutes ago you posted a thread asking for $300.00 because your snake got out of the tub it was in and something happened to snake where it ended up getting its back broken. Its complete common sense. If I have to even soak my snake from a bad shed or whatever, I have to have the lid ready to put on top or she's out when I turn around. Then 40 minutes later you now say " we couldn't even get pictures of the one that had to be put down". I don't know about you, but you have been replying pretty quickly so I'm pretty sure you still have the snake and it hasn't been put down yet.

If you haven't noticed, people don't come on here asking for money. I have seen threads where people have refused money that was being offered and have even proved there case.

are serious would you go to see your ball python be put down? my dad and mom are gone to do that and plus if I could I would raise the money my self I don't any ones help.........it's just me and my drawings again......don't you see I wouldn't put it down if I had the money my mom is the one who opened the fund I didn't for all i know she could be just using the fund for her self and not my BP.....for all i know she could not even care...no one cares.....I ran away for 2 days once and stayed over my best friends house and they didn't even care.....and....and...never mind I wont post if thats what you want.....bye I wont be on for a while....

You sound like a great kid. I was addopted too!!! Never believe anyone who tells you that you are stupid. You can do anything you put your heart and mind to. I'm sorry for your loss, but keep on reading these threads and learning all you can about these amazing animals. Best of luck friend.

This all goes back to the most basic aspect of pet ownership; if you can't afford it - including having the (reasonable) financial security for food, equipment and unforeseen vet bills - don't get it.

I'm very sorry for what happened to your snake. Hopefully this will be a life-lesson for you in the future, not only with pet-ownership, but with life. All actions have consequences, and occasionally it is another person who has to pay the price for what you do. Try to think of this situation along those lines.

For what it's worth, there really isn't much we can do here for the snake. To me this sounds more like a cry for help, and it wouldn't kill anyone to treat her like the 13 year old that she is.

the story about the snakes being removed from the car, beaten, and then the perpetrators disappearing within minutes RIGHT OUTSIDE the vet's office

sounds like a fabrication. I don't buy it, sorry

Nobody has to 'buy' this story.

Nobody needs to agree or disagree with the situation.

Everybody ought to try to read between the lines however and post responses accordingly and with empathy...

yay some one called me a she for once ._. every one thinks I'm a boy because of my user name.....and it was not completly right in front of the vets office it was some where down the hill near the vets office you see we live in a very hilly part of the state

oh, so it was parked on the street somewhere?

THAT I'd believe....in fact that sort of thing has happened before based on a recent story I read online about an albino boa.

Even without a snake in the car why would anyone park far away from where u are going to and leave the doors open? Its like u left your car begging to be robbed or stolen.

it seems that the more and more this post goes on the more and more off uknown facts about the story comes through maybe things that should have been said in the beggining.

Pat truly is concerned for the welfare of animals and lately he has clearly been bothered by recent posts about animals that have been unecessarily been dealt a bad hand by their keepers that has resulted in their deaths. For that I cut him slack for his terse comments. And if this girl is 13 years old and in the circumstances that she describes, I think that she should be cut some slack too.

I read that boa story....now I feel how that person felt.....exept my snake didn't have it's head cut off.....I feel so sorry for the boa
