reptile basics or Ap economy racs

Which should i get economy ap or reptile basics rack?:confused:

I got three RP racks and they are all great.

I have two reptile basic racks and am planning getting a few more shortly.

Rich is a good guy.

AP=FLAWLESS. :gj::salute:

All we use is Reptile Basics racks and cages. Never anything else. We have 100+ racks and 20 + cages from Reptile Basics. Never any problems at all and Our Snakes Love them!!:gj:

Pre-assembled with heat and tubs, you can't go wrong!

Love my Reptile Basics rack and you can't get much better service than Rich provides. :)

AP economy rack works great but going to buy a RP basics CB70 rack soon.

They are both pretty sweet. I have a couple of racks from RBI coming in tomorrow so i voted for them.

I have 4 racks and 6 cages from Rich at Reptile Basics. Guess you know how I voted!! :D

I think for the money AP economy racks can't be beat. I have two of them that are 10 tubs high and they're great. Very affordable and do the job. My vote was for AP.

That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to get reptile basics racks, just that for what i need the AP are better.

I have one RBI rack and I love it. I think though if you are looking for something flexible the AP racks seem to be a little bit better as, on the one I was lookin at at least, you can switch from 12 15qt tubs to 6 32 qt tubs as you snakeys grow.

what kind of room are you using them in? what is the room temperature? RBI racks offer more security and more insulation then Ap economy racs.

I voted RBI. I've had my rack for over a year and its worked great for me. The versatility of the AP racks is a huge plus, but I would still go for RBI.

the temperature in my house up stairs is usually around 74 degrees. Im just wondering if i should use the heat rope ap uses on them or heat tape? :confused:

I voted Reptile Basics, never tried AP and probably won't after dealing with RBI. Currently have 4 racks from them and should be ordering atleast 3 more before the end of the year.

I have a RBI rack and i love it. cant say anything about the other tho. Rich is great to deal with too. great customer service and a great product!

i have three AP econo racks.

They are bang for the buck.

I also have some racks from RBI, they are nice too.

I am happy w/ the ap racks for the money and quality.

probably will go w/ them again.

everything i order i order from reptile basics. rich stayed on the phone with me for 20 mins the other day helping with what i need and giving me information on what would be best suited for me and wasnt trying to sell me the higher dollar stuff for what i needed when he could have but instead he told me which way to go to save money and still have a very nice set up. i will always buy their products.

Yeah I do like the idea of not even having to set it up just plug it.

I also have some AP enclosures, which are fantastic and I absolutely love.

I don't have any AP racks, however, I'm making the assumption the AP rack quality is comparable to enclosure quality.

Therefore, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I can't tell from the pics on the websites, but what are the RB and AP racks made out of? Are they painted/finished wood? Hubby's good with woodworking, so we're trying to price out if it's cheaper to build our own or buy one. I want something that will be well insulated, but I don't want to deal with melamine. It'd be helpful to know what RB and AP use, since everyone raves about them.

I didn't realize BPs would be so freakin addictive! :D

They're a type of plastic, I believe its expanded PVC and the brand name is Sintra.

RBI racks all the way. I just ordered my 12th and 13th rack from them. Rich is a great guy with great service......

I would get the heat tape if you go with ap. I have bad experiences with the heat cable they sell. But other then that I love the racks and cages from them.

Im interested in the AP rack as my first rack :) since is very versatile and i dont have a lot of space :(

But i see the Sterilite Box 1754 & 1756 are no longer produced(?). Did anyone find replacing tubs for this? without risking scaping balls? I sent an email to AP but they havent replied to me yet.

Also I see is a "belly heat" rack, what does that mean?? is the heat in the center of the tub? wouldnt that be bad for the snakes not to have a cold side to retreat to? or am i wrong? Again this would be my first rack so i am not sure what belly heat realy is...

Any extra info that i didnt think of would be appreciated :bow:

idk bout the tubs but the belly heat is in the rear under the tub used to heat the belly part of snakes to help digesting so u still have a cold/hot side if u want i can build u a rack pm me and trust me you will be ver happpy!!

I found out that the 1754 and 1756 were replaced by the 1753 and 1755, But they leave a 1/8 gap.

Does anyone have pictures of the rack with the 1753 and the 1755? Does anyone think hatchlings would scape from a 1/8 gap?

Also; what product do you use to regulate the heat cable?

I am supposed to be recieving my rack from rbi soon, so rbi gets my vote.

go with reptile basics i have two rack and they work great and rich is a really good guy

RB has the best product at the best prices out the door IMO.

i couldnt vote cuz we're getting a rack from AP, simply because it is cheaper then one fo the same size from RBI, but we have gotten hides and flex watt from RBI and will def get racks from them someday...

I thought the ppl at AP were great, we were gonna get the economy racks, but since they discontinued the tubs for them and we didnt want the 1/8" gap and got the rubbermaid racks, same size as the economy ones for the same price. I got prompt replies and am very excited to get my future rack!

Everything I ever need for my snakes, I get from Rich at RBI. The quality of everything he produces is great, and plus, the customer service can't be beat. I have emailed him with questions (both reptile and payment related) and gotten fast, detailed responses.

I also consider it a good omen that my RBI rack was delivered in the middle of a snowstorm, right on time!! :)

i just ordered an ap 12 tub iris cb70 so i voted for them. i will let you know what i think abouit it when i get it and set it up.
