BP Newbie with a cute Pastel

Hello there! I just joined BPnet, because I JUST got my first ball python! He's an adorable little pastel that hatched in July, and I got him from Royal Constrictor Designs. Me and my friend both ordered one since if we got a male with the female, the male was half price, and then we split it evenly. So it worked out pretty well for both of us. Anyway, this little guy arrived on Tuesday at around 3pm, even though he was SUPPOSED to arrive by 10:30am. But thats Fedex for you.

His name is Salem, and I havent handled him at all since he was put into his tank. I admit I messed with him a little to get some pics when we first opened up the box, but he's resting and getting used to things now, with no bothersome giant thing picking him up and pestering him.

They're beautiful! However, I would caution about doing photos with your friend's snake Milo until after they have both completed their quarantine!

thanks! and yes, I know. I wouldnt let Salem touch Miloh, and she was careful with contaminating. though i know there was still the risk. :(

I have bought from Garrick Demeyer once before, he has some great selections of animals.

since I'm not sure about it, can you guys/gals help me check my housing system? I dont have any photos, sorry... I'll post one in a couple days though when I get my camera back. its being borrowed.

his current housing:

-10 gal tank with screen top
-locking lid clamps
-zoo med UTH
-heat lamp during day, going to get a red or bue bulb soon instead
-rock cave hide on warm side
-various plastic and silk leaves, available as temporary hide on cool side, which he used at one point
-corner water bowl
-climbing branch
-aspen bedding
-2/3 of the screen top is covered with plastic to keep in humidity and temp
-current humidity about 55 with dial gauge
-current temp under warm hide says 86 with digital/probe
-not sure about air temp, need to get another thermometer in there

Wow those pastels are HOT!!!! Nice pic.. I love mine I just wish he was as bright as them. Makes me want to buy another one.
