Well, my house is going to blow away.
As you all can see Ike is coming right towards me! We have a vol. evac...we still arnt leaving, maybe I can get my parents to leave once it turns manditory.. I am just asking to wish me luck and send prayers!! We will have alot of damage, and will probably be out for a bit. I also ask you keep Diana, Laura, and the other houston area peeps in too! I think they are far enough north to not be in harms way. See you next week!:D

We're watching The Weather Channel, this looks ugly. Best wishes and good luck to you all in the path of Ike.

Justin, and everyone else who was directly affected by Ike, please make sure you post back here when you are able. I'm watching the devastation, and worried for all our members who lived through this!

Me too Robin. I'm not from a place where I've ever dealt with a hurricane so I cannot begin to wrap my mind around what this is doing to people's lives. Be safe, please let us know if you are okay and if there is anything we can do to help.

I'm from Halifax N.S. and we ended up having a hurricane a few years back now:confused: We didn't think much of it because in the 24 years I have lived here, we have never had one. The devastation was ridiculous! I got stuck about 5 hours away from here so I didn't experience it but when we were actually able to safely go back home, about 2 hours outside of Halifax, we started seeing some damage.

A lot of places here didn't have power for upwards of 3-4 weeks.

The hurricane was called Hurricane Juan. If you google it in the images, adding Halifax N.S. too it you can see pictures.

    Good luck!
