New Digital Camera!! (ball python pics inside)

I just received my new digital camera today. I do not know much about photographs, so I am using the automatic features. I have a photographer buddy, so hopefully he can teach me about some of the features. Anyway, here are some pics I shot today...

Thanks, I picked up a Kodak Easy Share Z1015IS. I actually ordered it when it was still on pre-order. It has a lot of really nice features, but I don't know how to use them all yet...

Thanks, that is my female butter het ghost. I bought her from Camlon Reptiles. She is so awesome. I plan to breed her to my pastel ghost in the future. I am so hoping for at least one butter pastel ghost... :please:

After looking at the photos on my monitor at work, they look pretty bad. I am going to have to mess around with the settings. I had the setting on normal, I will switch it to fine when I get home and try again. I am trying to keep the pic size down, so I am taking them at 3.2 mp instead of 10 mp. Is this why they turned out so pixilated?
