    Question about Flexwatt Heat Tape...
If I order a 4" strip of Flexwatt from ReptileBasics for the cool side of my enclosure and I tell them to do the connections for me, then what will there be left for me to do once I get it? I just don't want to order it and then be extremely confused as to what to do when it arrives...

Plug it in to a thermostat, secure the thermostat probe to the flexwatt and heat your enclosure! :)

Not as accurate with temps but if you monitor it, it should be ok. Dimmers don't work as well in rooms with wide swings in ambient temperature.

It's basically always the same temp down here...but all i do is plug the heat tape into the dimmer and the dimmer into any outlet?

When you order from reptile basics make sure to buy the plug and connector set and ask rich to connect it.

    :]

Yes, Rich asks that you let him know what you want in the comment box. However, since you have some questions, I'd email or call Rich and let him know what your situation is so that he'll be best able to advise you :)

Yes, although whenever I've needed to I've just called him. He usually picks up the phone and has no problems answering any questions you may have.

OK, i got a 4'' strip of flexwatt all wired and ready to go but im not sure exactly how i should have it on the cool side...should i put it vertical on the cool side or horizontal? If i do it horizontal then it would be next to the UTH on the hot side so it would basically be like one really long UTH going across the entire back of the enclosure except different temps on each side...help please

You should be alright either way as long as you get your required temps and the snake still has floor space available that isn't directly over the heat tape.

You should be good, as long as the snake has some were to escape to if the heat sources goes wrong.
