    Failed Cinnamon Egg- GRAPHIC
I had the cinnamon female lay 5 eggs. 2 went moldy immediately, and were discarded.
3 have made it up until now, but the #3 egg started to mold and became hard and dead.
I opened it to see, and found a badly kinked dead baby, obviously a cinnamon too.
    This is it.

I'm sort of glad it did die, since it looks like it would not be able to eat with the major kink behind the head. Poor baby.
Now I have the last 2 eggs, waiting on them to hatch, and hoping to get a viable baby or two from them.

Wow, the poor thing. Unfortunately, had this baby survived out of the egg, you probably would have had to euthanize it anyways. I wonder why it had so many kinks?

Good luck with the other eggs :snake:

Awww Theresa, the poor thing. :( I'm glad though that you were spared having it make a hard decision had it survived. Some of them are just not meant to be.

Is it really a kink if it's clearly not fully developed? That's just a thought... Sorry about the loss, hope things look better for ya. :(

Sorry about your loss! Hopefully you have better luck with the remaining eggs.
Do either of the parents of this clutch have a history of producing kinks or other deformities?

Yes, it's definitely kinks. Once you feel a kink in a spine, it's unmistakable. It wouldn't have unkinked, even if it had been alive(remember the fetus was dead, that's why I opened the egg to see) to survive to full term.
Looks like the other two eggs both have cinnamons!
The mom has never been bred before, and the father hasn't ever produced a kinked baby(or any deformaties).
I'm guessing bad luck, the temps never spiked during incubation. I have plenty of bad luck.
    Thanks guys!
