poop or puke?????

last night i was watching the shinning with the girlfriend and heard a loud squirt from one of my tanks.i look in there and the snake was adjusting its jaws.in front of the snakes face was wat appeared to be a nice pooh and a bunch of water.my question is how do you yell pooh from puke?i was thinking it may have gotten a massive drink of water then pooped and i guess from all the pushing it regurged the water? any help is appreciated

anyone????????????? ideas at all????????????

A picture would have been helpful -- poop looks like poop regurge looks like undigested rat. That's about the best I can come up with. :rolleye2:

i would guess from the snake readjusting its jaw and the location of the waste in proximity to its mouth that it was a regurge, but again thats just my guess. the "water" might have been digestive fluids?

I have a snake that one night my wife and I were sitting near the enclosure and we heard a loud fart noise, my wife asked me was that the snake? I said I dont think so Ive never heard a snake make that noise before.. I opened up the enclosure and sure enough there was some fresh poo in there...

Im not sure if this is what you heard but the way you describe it was similar... As far as resetting its jaw Im not sure...

BTW the snake i have that made this noise is fine, never had a problem with him...

I have never had a snake regurge. However, from what I've read numerous times, you can't miss a regurge. Apparently it smells much worse than poo.

Maybe the "water" was pee? Since they use the same hole for both, it could have all come out at the same time?

The smell of a regurge woke up my friend from a sound sleep once. The snake was in another room. Apparently it smelled like "death and vomit". I guess that would mean the smell is pretty bad...

looks like poo, in humans once food passes the stomach regurgitation never happens probably the same for snakes which means it sould look something like a rat if eatten. tho intreasingly enough i think i see a tail in there

looks like dried poo to me. If it was regurge U would be able to tell. It looks just like a mushy rat/mouse ball. By that I mean It slightly resembles the prey item with a bit of fur and the overall shape but when you go to remove it from the tank I pretty much disintegrates its pretty bad. As for aligning the jaws I say just coincidence

Puke smells really bad. Its a very noticable dead animals and vomit smell. and it would probably be the rat or mouse not that lumpy thing.

Thats definatly poo, they wouldnt have any reason to puke digested food ( which isnt really possible), which is what that is. Its snake crap, you would be able to tell a difference from puke and crap for sure. Odor and apparence is alot different.
