Whats everyone doing for labor day weekend?

Well I figure I would start by saying everyone have a good weekend. Im on my sailboat right now, sailing off the coast of Main, doing a little fishing and just plain relaxing.:salute:

Sounds like a pretty good time. So far I've just been hanging out around the house and working on a logo. At some point this weekend we gotta clean rat tubs. What a vacation!

Well, your holiday weekend is much nicer than mine!

I've had my brake pads replaced, my nails done, grocery shopping, cleaned rats and vacuumed today. Going to fix a pot of coffee in the next hour and get ready for Reptile Radio tonight.

Tomorrow, Karl and I plan to go to a state park, take the dog and stake out a grill and have a picnic at the park.

Monday - no plans at all except to sleep in and re-cuperate from Daytona.

Havin a party with ole Gustav.....

My hubby works weekends so Labor Day weekend is no different other than he does get Monday off (then Tuesday & Wednesday which are his regular days off anyways).

So far today I've cleaned the house, done dishes, washed two floors, helped one child with homework, filled out some paperwork for kid's schools, designed a new record keeping chart for the snakes, fed rats, sorted weanling rats by gender, fed about half the snake collection so far, taken new pics of some snakes and made supper. Whoooooohoooo FUN!!!!!

Going out with some family for my birthday, and then marching with the rest of the Ironworkers for the labor day parade.

I've been ill all week so my plans have been trimmed down to maybe repotting some plants if I feel up to it.

Ah well, it still beats workin!

The good news is that on weekends, I work at a local public aquarium, which is currently hosting two exhibits featuring reptiles - our African Safari exhibit contains turtles, day geckos and two species of boa (but not Dumeril's!) from Madagascar, and out in the back we've had an eight foot albino alligator visiting. (He's going home next week.) Today, while chatting with some folks about that fellow, a juvie bald eagle did a flyby for us, so . . .

Not such a bad day!

I've been working. And I wish I worked at an aquarium! But I'm working at a game store, so that's cool too.

We just got back from a trip down to the Oregon Coast. Beautiful area.
