Bailey pickups in Daytona!
It has been hectic around here since we got back from Daytona, and work hasn't been any better. However, I got the opportunity to come home from work early today, so I thought I would get caught up on some photography work in the snake room (mostly shed out hatchlings that needed their ID photos taken). So, I took some pics of our additions from Daytona. I will not bore you with the pics of the other 5 snakes that we got, since they look normal, but we did also pick up 4 66% Poss. Het Lavendar Albino females, and 1 50% Poss. Het. Lavendar Albino females that are all '07 hatchlings. They look normal, but they have some great potential.
With that out of the way, here come the pics. First up is our newest Bee. It happens to be dipped in Honey. Thanks to BHB for this fine specimen, and he is already 350 grams, so he should be busy this year.

Next up is one Monica has been wanting, since the HoneyBee was for me. I tried to buy one of these in Chicago last year, but it got sold out from under me. And, since they looked so good, I told the guys (Michael Cole and Neil Golli) that I wanted one from them. Wouldn't you know, they got some more this year, and called me as soon as they were ready to go. Say hello to Monica's new Hypo Mojave (unnamed as of yet).

Lastly, here are three pics. I know they don't go in this section, but to be frank, I was too lazy to make a whole other post, and thought some of you might enjoy the pics anyway. My daughter got a Frog farm for her birthday and has been keeping some native frogs in it for about 6 to 8 weeks. Monica promised her that we would get her some frogs in Daytona. So here they are.
First up is (Bryce claimed it) the new Auratus. Second up is a New River, and lastly is a Citronella (Shelby laid claim to both of them before Monica could claim one as her own).

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy the pics.

Thanks Nancy, Doris and Joe. The frogs are Dart frogs. Joe, even though it is Monica's snake, I do kind of like it.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Congrats on the amazing new additions! :gj:
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Wow you got some real colorful stuff going on there. Great additions, the honeybee is just amazing and the Mojave has SO much orange, very cool. Monica showed me the frogs right after she got them and I bet you had some happy kids when you got home because they just glow like neon!
It was a pleasure meeting you both and I hope i have the opportunity again soon. Glad to see everyone got home safe and sound;)

Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Wow Tim, that Honeybee is amazing, but that Hypo Mojave is freakin insane, I have to say I like that one better, but both are nice man, awesome pickups!

Damn Tim, looks like Daytona was kind to you!!!!!!!!
Now get ready to fly to Anaheim on the 6th!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Breathtaking snakes, man! And the frogs are just way too cool...they always look like little plastic toys to me! LOL
Was too much fun hanging out with you and Monica! Can't wait 'til next time!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
I got to see that honeybee in person. :wuv: Super hot!
Now about Monica... I have to say her taste in snakes is amazing. Sheesh! That snake is just breath taking. LOVE IT!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Okay Tim your snake is really nice and all but WOW...I'm loving Monica's Hypo Mojave! Gorgeous snake! I've always loved those.
Our zoo has a new huge frog section and we've been fascinated with the Dart Frogs. What in the heck is a Frog Farm? (and why do I have visuals of you hollering "soueeeeeee" at the frogs with your kids in overalls hollering "daddy git them frogs in the barn!") :D
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Quite the assortment. Very nice stuff to come home with. :gj:
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Thanks for all of the compliments. We love them both the same. Well maybe not. I'm not sure that I should be thanking ya'll, becasue you guys are partial to Monica's snake. LOL. I'll have to tell her to come on here and say thanks. Or maybe I'll get her to thank me for buying it, and giving her the opportunity to receive all of this praise. I can't wait to watch these guys grow, and maybe catch them doing the nasty later in the season.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Some very fine choices :gj:
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Sweet pick-up's Tim...How's the eye? LOL...
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
All beautiful, and it was tons of fun seeing all of them in person when you first got them! Thanks for bringing them by the table to show them off!
And BEST of all was getting to see YOU guys! Always a pleasure!!!
-

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I guess everyone likes my boy best. lol
Jo I was in tears from laughing so hard when i say your post. Thats funny stuff there. The frog farm is actually a little frog habitat system. Mostly for raising tadpoles to frogs.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Love her hypo mojave. Gorgeous!! I'm crazy about the frogs too!!
:)
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Tim that honeybee is Sweeeeeeeet!
You were too kind man I hope to meet up with you again and pick your mind for reptile knowledge.
That hypo mojave is amazing as well. I've always considered lessers the better of the platinum complex. But the darker coloration on the mojave makes it drop dead perfect.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Nice pickups, Tim. I saw Monica holding that hypo mojave outside the show and it was smokin. It was good meeting you guys again, and Briana really enjoyed talking with monica.

Shhhh, don't tell Tim, but I like your avatar better too! :D :bolt:

Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Raul told me about Monica's frogs and he wasn't kidding those are way cool.
It was nice meeting you both in Daytona and we hope to meet up with you again in the future. Next time I want what you guys had in the big mugs :8:
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Nice pickups! Every one of those animals is just gorgeous.
My fav is definitely the hypo mojave. Wow!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
I realy like the honeybee.... Congrats on the poss het lavenders Bro that is a must have project.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Thanks for all of the responses and compliments. Daytona was a blast, and I loved meeting all of you that I haven't met before.
BT,
The eye is great, you almost can't see it anymore.
Robin,
Monica didn't have to tell me, I can read on my own. LOL. However, ask Monica who made that Avatar. LOL.
Laurie,
If you must know, there was Jack and Coke in my mug, and if you saw Monica with a mug, it had Banana Banshee in it (I got her addicted to those about 11 years ago).
Emilio,
I have to send a special thanks out to you, becasue you seem to be one of the only ones that likes mine better than Monicas. LOL. Thanks Bro.

I do have the oddest visuals sometimes LOL. Comes from having a fair too active imagination I guess.
It was great gabbing with you and Tim last night by phone. I'm getting on Mike this coming week about setting up his vacation days, booking a room and sorting out childcare for Tinley. If we don't get to come this year and hang out with you two, I'm going to toss a complete and utter hissy fit! :taz: (even worse than when we run out of coffee...so it's really scary stuff!)

Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Wow, Tim! That Honeybee is AWESOME! I love how reduced patterened it is! Very nice! Those dart frogs are sweet too!!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
awesome pickups man...............I didn't get to see the 'bee in person but the hypo-mojo was smokin'.
it was a blast meeting you guys and hanging out. We'll have to do it again some time. To bad Chicago's not in the cards for me....!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Those snakes are gorgeous. I guess I need to add some Ghost to my gene pool!
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
1st and foremost, what is in a Banana Banshee?
2nd, great seeing you guys again, looking forward to tinley already, its just around the corner....
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Tim,
You forgot to post pic of your new display case as well...you know what I mean? Such a nice display ;)
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!

Neil,
Great seeing you as well. Thanks for the smokin Hypo Mojave. Apparently he has done a good job at getting Monica alot of props.
A Banana Banshee is 1 part Creme de' Banana, 1 part white Creme de' Cacao and 2 parts Half and Half. Good stuff. Her favorite drink is Nuts and Berries, but the ingredients are expensive (1 part Chambord, 1 part Frangelico and 2 parts Half and Half).
T,
I didn't post those, because I already have three sets just like them. I just needed more because we are setting up 2 tables in Tinley instead of one this year. However, a big thanks to Chun for some 50% off display cases. It saved me about $500.

Those snakes are fantastic. I have always loved the way dart frogs looked, but could never find myself able to have one.
Those drinks sound wayy too good to be true.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
ah...now if only snakes came in dart frog colors. ;)
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
WOW!! O.O Those are both amazing. I can hardly decide which I like better.... So I will just say that they are both awesome! Great pick ups.

Okay that settles it! At Tinley I'm drinking with Monica cause she likes the same kind of girlie drinks I do LOL.
Tell Monica to check out this link....

Cask & Cream Caramel Temptation in coffee or poured over ice is to die for! The Chocolate Temptation's pretty good too but that caramel stuff is the best.

Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Jess,
We'll be in Tinley for sure. We should have plenty of snakes to drool over at the show. If you want to taste a Banana Banshee, just ask Monica, I'm sure she'll have the mixers with her.
Tashai,
You are so right. Maybe one day, we'll be able to isolate the gene for irridiphores in Ball pythons, and at least make them shine a bit more.
PythonChick,
Thanks for the compliment. I know that snake has a special place in your heart, as I remember seeing that you just got a Mojave Het Hypo. Good luck on that project. As much as I hate to admit it, I really like the Hypo Mojave too.
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
Tim,
You know what...I might go to Tinley show as well. Chun's deciding where he wants to go between Tinley or Bangkok. So it's either he's coming to visit me here or I fly to Tinley and meet him there.
Or I could fly to Tinley and fly back with Chun...it's gonna cost me lots of money for the ticket though.
You think Tinley's gonna be a good show?
-
Re: Bailey pickups in Daytona!
T,
Tinley is always an awesome show. The best show in the states in my opinion. Not as big as Daytona, but it seems to be a more professional show, and the auction is the best. Potter does a great job making the auction a fun time.
I hope we can see you there. If you do come, make sure and stop by our table.
