A litter of 21!!

I just had a litter of 21 from a FIRST time mom!! I think that is a record. What have your biggest litters been?

16 for me.. but where the pics! :confuzd:

Wow! That's a huge litter. I think my largest was 18 and I felt so sorry for the poor mom.

My new line of Super Rat that I have been working on gave me 32!

wow, 32.. thats a HUGE litter!!!.. Super Rat? Please explain.. Where can I get some.. Does it also fight crime? lol

I think my largest was 19 that all survived. I do like to foster some off in a huge litter if I have a female that has some the same age and not so many in her litter. If not, then sometimes you get a lot of baby rats but they aren't growing as fast or as well because there is such a fight to get to the milkbar. Your female will split them up into multiple nests to help with that but if you can help her by fostering some off, it usually helps in getting bigger pups.

Meh... you do communal breedig don't you? I have a VERY hard time believing one female gave you 32. I can see you have newborns in that pile, and a few a couple of days older that have developed their pattern. Sorry, that is two litters there.

Also... if you've been having problems just getting animals to not eat their young, how could you have been "working" on selectively breeding for larger litters over so many generations now? Things like that take time...

hehe im kidding guys! That is three litters.

i figured it was more than one litter lol. but hey that would of been a huge prego.

Well one died, so now I am at 19, but I miss counted, and had 20 originally! Still alot!:D

Wow, so far, my largest litter was 14. The most recent litter was 8. Congrats on the big litter!

OH MY GOD!!!! That's insane! My highest has been 12 with my first time momma. Then again, I've only had 3 litters! :D
