He's a stud. I cant wait til my Barbosa grows up. Hes so dang feisty right now and hes hard to handle but its fun to chase him around the house trying to catch him.
Did you ever feed him anythng other than greens? It seems like that my ig wants to eat everything were eating. When were eating anything he comes out of his cage and comes to try and eat our food.

Re: Green Ig Owners?
LOL I love it! Stretched out on the TV like she owns the place! :D
I had a female Iggy a while back, when I had the room. I built a 4'hx3'dx2'w wood/wire cage for her and she had the works! I spoiled that girl... but she was a rescue and deserved it. The fool who'd owned her prior fed her ONLY spinach...so she got MBD and would never grow anymore due to a 90 degree spine kink at the base of her tail. She was a sweet girl, tho.
Sarah ate dark greens (She loved Kale and Collard), as well as assorted other veggies and fruits. She got OCCASIONAL protein items, but mostly as a balance or treat.
I have a few pictures, but they aren't scanned into the computer yet. :) I'll see what I can do.

Iggies favorite foods are butternut squash, collard greens, tomatoes, bananna, and melon. Oh and grapes! she eats those things whole! she goes crazy when she sees them, she LOOOOOOOOVES grapes! And the thing she loves to do most, can you guess it, poop on my bed. She has done it twice. and then afterwords I find her up here
after a long day at work, she actually sends random things. lol

Re: Green Ig Owners?
Yea i know what there diet is, im more concerned with other foods, he seems to crave anything we eat no matter what it is. He even wants to eat the cupx we drink out of. Its pretty funny sometimes when he clibs out of his cage just to come to the table where we are eating and join us for dinner.
The other night my girlfriend had a pice of bread on the table and he came and stole it.
it was hilarious

Once a guy came into Petco when I was working who said he would feed his iguana ham, and other various people food. :weirdface That can't be good can it?
I don't have one, but someday I'll definitely adopt one when I have the space. For those of you who adopted, how do you deal with the difficult temperaments that often accompany adoptee igs?

Re: Green Ig Owners?
My ig was sorta adopted. Luckily he was still very young and didnt know any better. He still has his moments where he is a big pain in the butt. But overall he has calmed down alot since i got him in december. Although he has taken a big liking to me. He is still pretty scared of my girlfriend though but thats cuz shes afraid of him still some. She wont spend as much time with him as i do.

Re: Green Ig Owners?
I always fed mine a mixture of squash, carrots, zucchini, apples, bananas and occasionally strawberries, along with his base diet of leaf lettuce and romaine.
