I wish I could find some hairless around here. No store carries them and I wouldn't even know who to talk to about finding a breeder. I want a hairless so bad.

Quickest way to a hairless is through rexes!:D Or a razor.

:8: Oh lord Justin! Could you imagine?! LOL

Rats do usually only live for 2 years. Spaying and nuetering can help prevent cancer, which will lengthen their life span.

Rats have been known to live for 4 or 5 years, although nowadays it's not very common.

Yeah that's the sad thing about them :( My sister has a blue hooded hairless, beautiful blue skin! But she's a year old now and has been having a lot of tumors  comming to the surface and rupturing. My little sis puts some meds on it and she's fine for the next month till it all happens again. It's weird. She's a fantastic rat though!

I don't think those are tumors, tumors shouldnt come to the surface, rupture open and go away. That's an infection like a cyst or absess full of pus.

Rats do have short life spans, only about 2-3 years. Their reproductive lives are short (only about 15 months of age or so), before they reach menopause.
