I'm all packed, critters cleaned and watered and Karl is napping. Told me to wake him up at 11 and then we'll go. I'm ready to hit the road NOW for Daytona!!!!

Just twiddling my thumbs now and checking and re-checking and re-checking my list (and I'll still forget something, I'm sure).

How about you run over to my place while Karl sleeps and help me pack geckos? :P

No, no. I think I'd rather you clean and feed my rat colony--that ought to keep you occupied for a while. :D

Seems like it is always the essential that people forget about ;) (and to me a camera is part of the essential to go to Daytona)

Ahh, this just freakin stinks, still got another work day ahead of me, will be flying down 75 through the tropical storm and all about 5 pm tomorrow, so then, and only then, will it be all good, got another day to tackle first. Hopefully the next couple days go faster vs slower! I know Saturday feels like forever away and were planning on leaving on Sat at 4am to make it to Daytona in enough time to be one of the first 30 to the BP.net table :P

what is the backup meat up spot to the hilton patio in the event of heavy rain for Friday night???

There's at least two bars inside the Hilton, so I imagine one of those.

Sweet, yall get to leave for daytona tonight while I get to watch a rat give birth...hmmm....LOL. She looks like she swallowed a softball, and even with 6 babies out she is still that big..LOL.

I still have to work tomorrow, too. And feed all the geckos & water everyone and do laundry and pack. At least I'll be busy until it's time to go!! ;) On the plus side - I have my lectures ready to go for next week when I get back!

I was supposed to leave tomorrow night on the red-eye, but Delta cancelled it so now I leave early Friday morning. If I get delayed by morning fog (rather than tropical storm action) I'm gonna be mad.

I can't wait to see those that I've met already and meet those that I haven't!! :D
