    Where is my lucky horseshoe!
Lately I haven't been feeling to good and I found out why last night. I had to have an emergency appendectomy. :(

I han't been feeling to good the past couple of days and Thursday Morning around 2 am I started having bad pains in my side..I tried to sleep it off but the pains kept waking me up. I woke up at like 5 am and started doing some light cleaning. I was having dull pains and felt all bloaty so I took some tums and motrin. Around noon time I called Jeff and told him that the tums weren't working and to pleae bring me some Pepto. So he brought me the Pepto but it didn't really help. So I just sat around the rest of the day in my room. I found that as long as I was sitting..bent over..I felt better. So around 5:30 Jeff got home...by 6:30 I was at this point I was laying in a fetal position in bed...freezing to death..and rocking back and forth. When I get fevers..I rock...I don't know why. Ayways..so Jeff asked me where the pain was and all my symptoms and he looked it up online. I was pretty sure I had a bug! Jeff asked me if I still had my appendix and I told him yea. So he called the ER and talked to a nurse who insisted I go to the hospital because she suspected Appendicitis. :O I FREAKED!

So around 9 pm thursday went to the hospital and after sitting in the waiting room for 6...hours...I was finally seen. After that...Everything just happened. I had to get a CT and then prepped for surgery. I was in the operating room at 7:15 am. At 9:00 am they wheeled me into my room minus an appendix and at 6:15 pm I was back home checking on my hatchlings! :D

So if anyone has my lucky horseshoe...

    please give it back!!! :please:

Oh dear! That doesn't sound fun at all! I hope you are feeling MUCH better now!

But really, which would you rather have, an appendix or an albino? :P

Someone has mine too, but it must be close cause my day wasn't half as bad as yours...

(I just got into a minor car accident today.. No one had to cut me open...)

Wow! They sure didn't keep you very long! I hope you feel better really soon. I can only imagine how painful it must have been and how painful it must be now. Happy thoughts are on there way from California.

    No it wasn't fun. :(

Mary Washington must have the worst ER I have ever seen!

But the rest of the hospital was great and took very good care of me.

I will take an albino anyday!!!

Hey Meme think of it this way though, had you not gone in and it had burst you would have been in way, way deeper trouble hon. I know it's not fun but in a way your good luck held that you didn't just blow off the symptoms and end up with a very much more serious infection in your insides. I've seen a person whose appendix burst and it was a really bad deal honey.

Glad you are going to be okay. Take it easy though and don't do too much. Your body needs to heal so no vacuuming or lifting anything heavy. You take it real easy for awhile.

No..they didn't keep me long at all. I was ready to leave though. The beds aren't the most comfy and I just wanted to be with my family at home. They always make me feel better. :)

I am just really sore now. :(

Thanks for the well wishes Laurie!

    You are right Jo.

But actually ...I felt like such a baby going in there for the pain and would not have gone in but Jeff insisted. I am very thankful that it didn't rupture cause everyone says that is sooooo painful!

I am not doing any housework...at all. ;)

    Jeff won't let me.

Painful and you can end up with a huge infection in your belly. I was hospitalized for something once and my roomie had a ruptured appendix. It was awful hon, she was really sick and had belly drains and just ICK. I'm very glad Jeff made you go when he did and you didn't have to face that mess.
