Where are the pics of the Champagne Pied. I must have missed those.

Also, I am not convinced yet that it is a Pied Clown, but if it is, I am a little dissapointed, as I was hoping for something a little better looking.

    +1

I'll have to see it fully out of the egg. But I was hoping for more of a clown pattern broken up by the pied white.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have one, but it's not what I was hoping for.

The clown combo I really want to see is the caramel clown! I think that could be an amazing snake.

I think if it's a clownXPied and has a clown hood and some pied and clown patches it will look awesome, but thats IMO!

All we can do now is wait to TSK post pic's of it out of the egg!

Well, what can you expect from a pied crossing? If you were hoping for the pattern to be like a clown then you should have known better( yeah I said it!) We all know the Pied messes with Pattern and at the most the mix might be a little different, but mainly color would change from a clownxpied. The head rocks though, so im happy!

Edit: The pied Champange is awesome! 1st champange anything that ive liked!

i have to disagree, the lines seperating the white form yellow are far to similar to what the pied gene does, i think a paradox is random patches and they seem to fade in to the pattern, that is very clearly defined.

if anybody gets what i mean lol

Where is Kara when you need her? LOL. I am not convinced that it is champagne. From the colors of other paradox BLACKELS they are identical! It is also very light compaired to a normal champagne.

I have to agree with him that there is no super Blel in it. Remember, the pied messes with colors and such! Ive never seen a Paradox Bel with so much color on it, but the eyes do look like one. Heck, if this is from nerd, it could very well be a Black eyed lucy Champange pied!

have you seen the champagne combo's? when combined theyre pattern and colour seems to dissappear? nobody knows for sure except kevin and kara, so we will just have to wait till they tell us lol, even if it isnt champagne, i am 100% sure it is pied.

I have seen the champagne combos. But pieds don't lighten color like that to much. I'm not even convinced it is pied either.

I second that, and personally I am diggin it either way, I would like to see more of the clown coloration broken up by the white in a few spots, but with Pieds there is so many variations, but still awesome in my opinion!

Yes, on the latest Reptile Radio BHB said he got a pied pinstripe and that the pin pattern is pretty much intact and has the typical pied white.

It made me wonder if a pastel pin pied would look more like a lemon blast pied instead of the weird pattern the pastel pieds tend to have.

hhmmm.. I think I'm a bit disappointed and thats a first cause I love anything pied, but I wont know for sure until its entirely out of the egg. the head pattern is neat, it would be neat if it had more of a clown pattern on the body. still beautiful in its own way and I wouldn't turn it down if somebody offered it to me for free :D.

I agree. I love pieds. They are my favorite morph and have been since day one. I think with a trait like the clown though, you are only going to see traces of the clown gene on low white pieds. Even then, the pied gene will probably wash away all but the clown head. Any way, big congrats to the Sutherlands for their visionary efforts.

    Re: Pied Clooooown!?!?!?!?!?!
I had never noticed their "what's hatching" site before. So it sounds like they bred a clown to a female that they later found out was a het pied to produce the double het parents of this baby. Wish they had pics of the parents up to see how normal they are or not but this baby does seem to prove that piebald and clown are not alleles but rather different mutations of different genes as generally expected. Years and years ago someone named Matt Turner produced a pied from breeding a male purchased as a het clown to a presumed normal so that had me wondering if there was a relationship there.
