whats your favorite reptile/amph. ???

i would say mine is for sure snakes. i found my gecko kind of boring but lets see what answer comes out to be

Snake and I've wanted one for a long time and I've just always liked snakes. That's why I have a snake. I probably would have had another reptile since my mother wasn't so afraid of those but I stayed set on having a snake. Well specificly a Ball Python.

ya. snakes i think are alot cooler than most animals. i had a gecko for a couple years. not being mean to them but it was a really boring pet. snakes are just fun to have

Snakes are my fav. and I would get lizards if it wasn't for the bug difficulties. :[

What type of snakes is a whole new thing though.. I don't know if I could say what my favorite type of snake would be. I really have begun to like pythons a lot.. I don't know.

All of them. Not every species in each group... but I like at least two species of each distinction and so cannot vote for just one. :) And I have owned at least one member of each group as well, so it's an educated opinion. ;)

I'd have to say snakes are my favorite. But I do own a savannah monitor and I'm starting to get into leopard geckos.

i really like my snakes, however i love my tortoises. they are adorable and it sounds weird but i love that i can pass them down to my babies when i get older.

I like my snakes, but I try to round it out with lizards, a tarantula, and a scorpion

I dig snakes & lizards the most, but would really like to add some froggies too :D:D

I'm all about Boas, but one day I will have my pet Rhino Iguana. They rock!

Snakes and Geckos for sure!

Both are Beautiful to look at, and both are really simple captives! <3 What more could you ask for?

snakes, because once you get them all set up, their care is relatively simple.
I love lizards, but don't keep any because I don't like keeping crickets around. My tarantulas eat once a week, and that's enough crickets for me...

snakes of coarse. My fav is the Burmese Python.

That's a tough call. I like my oldest BP, our male Blue Tegu and Cuban Rock Iguana have more personality.

I love snakes but geckos are catching my attention now.

we have a local 'reptile shop' that opened not too long ago... i'm not sure how he's doing, but he refuses to sell snakes! he states "i just don't like 'em". this thread proves how much business he's missing out on!!

Oh wow... As an avid Herper.. I love them all.

But to choose...I had to vote Lizards...Why you say?

Snakes are not all as active in the cage as other herps are, but snakes are still hands down the most handle-able herp there is. They're the reason why herps aren't so boring anymore when it comes to interactivity.
Anyway, the only herps I'm fond of are snakes (excluding venomous ones), Rhacs, Pac Man frogs, and Uros, but I chose snakes since they suit me better than any other herp.

I will have to go with amphibians, mainly because of the fact of the enclosures you can set them up in. I used to have the coolest naturalistic paludarium/vivarium with a little stream, waterfall, pond, live plants, and all the trimmings. Totally natural, totally beautiful, totally hard to keep clean and take care of! That's why I moved away from those into more utilitarian setups for lizards and snakes.
