day 51...i cut and O.M.G!!!

I am sooooooo stoked!!!

Ok...so I have a clutch of 8 of what I thought was normal x ph albino. Today was day 51. I have talked to a few of my friends and discussed weather or not I should just cut. I am not a patient person. :rolleyes:

I forgot to get scissors at the store today so I asked Susan if she would let me borrow hers so I could cut them...on day 52. Well...I figured I would at least wait till midnight tonight cause that technically would be day 52 right... :P

So Susan came over and I opened the incubator and found one had pipped!!! I was cuttin them suckras!!! ;) I was all nervous and shaking. Well I got 7 of them open and everything looked good.

I poke number 8 and I notice that it doesn't look the same...it is waaay lighter. I was freaking out! I opened it up and this is what I found!

I can't even get a visible animal from a co-dom to normal and you hatch an albino from a normal to a possible het! Was that normal also from Brad? Sounds like he picked up several "normal" het albino's! LOL

actually Robin...the normal is a female I got from a friend years ago and she bought her from the pet store as a baby...normal. :D The male was a ph albino that Adam (8 Ball) sold to Brad (elevatethis)..and Brad sold to me.

Meme that's so incredibly wonderful! I cannot imagine how you felt seeing that albino when you had absolutely no idea that both your snake's were carrying the albino gene. What a moment that must have been.

Congrats not only on a beautiful albino hatchling but as well, in having those two breeders as proven 100% het Albino's. :)

Stands for possible het - meaning it still has to be proven out.

Congrats on the baby! I have a phet albino at home and her 4 eggs are in the incubator. She was bred to a pastel and a black pastel. But in my case, my luck will never allow something like this to happen. ;)

update...

5 snakes have their heads poked out. :D

the albino is not one of them. :oops:

I lost 2. I dunno why. :(

One came out and I found him laying in the vermiculite. He was maybe 1/3 of the way out of his egg. He was the first one that had pipped and the smallest egg. :( The other one was still in his egg. I cut this one but it never made it out or anything. The liquid in his egg was turning into a gel. :weirdface they were both fully formed and looked fine. I will post pics of them in a bit.
