Oh No!

Re: Oh No!
Geez, what is wrong with people?!
I hope the theives are caught, and that karma kicks their butt. Of course, I hope the torts are found and returned. That's just TERRIBLE! :(

Re: Oh No!
OMG.. that is just horrible! I hope the tortoises are found quickly and safely returned.
-
Re: Oh No!
i cant believe people can actually do that type of thing and not have a guilty concious afterwards. whats is wrong with people these days. no morals!!!!!
-
Re: Oh No!
Well, that would explain why Kevin didn't sound as upbeat last night as last week on Reptile Radio.
Kevin, Kara - I hope that your animals are returned to you safely and these theives have the book thrown at them!
-
Re: Oh No!
:rage: That is terrible I really hope they will be found soon, I know how much Kara and Kevin care about their animal and I cannot imagine how upset I would be if one of my animal was stolen.
-
Re: Oh No!
How bloody disgusting to take animals that need specialized care and housing! Kara, Kevin and the Zoo Creatures staff - our thoughts are with you and our prayers that these valued creatures are recovered and the idiots that took them punished to the full extent of the law.
-
Re: Oh No!
I've never heard of anyone that has stuff... animals etc stolen from as much as NERD does.... hope they get em back soon!
-
Re: Oh No!
wow that pretty messed up. i hope they get them back. i cant imagine how i would be if someone stole my babies.

Re: Oh No!
Seacoast NH, where NERD is, has quite a lot of petty crime. A number of my friends who work out in those towns regularly report theft of property from work during the night.
NERD runs a pretty tight ship - the deck is just stacked against any business in that area that isn't 100% visible from the street.
Those torts are in my thoughts every hour. I really hope for their safe return and an end to awful crimes like these.

Re: Oh No!
Thank you all so much for the kind words & good vibes. Right now the biggest nagging thought -outside of "why?!?!?"- is that hopefully these tortoises are being cared for correctly, but obviously very worried that they're not. This is the first time we've really had an issue that didn't involve an employee to some extent (at least that we know), so it feels like we're just chasing ghosts in terms of who did it.
On the upside, the idiots who did do this left their tools behind @ the scene, so maybe that will turn up some leads.
K~

You are obviously dealing with criminal master minds here. Any chance of getting prints or partials off the tools?
Stealing is bad enough, but stealing something that could perish like that is even worse.
I hope the torts turn up alive and well. :)

Re: Oh No!
Kara and Kev-- I hope they catch the people who stole your torts, and that they end up back at the facility safe and sound. :( It's so stupid when people do things like this.

Re: Oh No!
its bad enough that someone stole the torts but i just read the article and at the bottom some stupid person made a comment about a big soup thats just sick i dont know what the worlds coming to with people like that id put the torts back outside and make a gap where the torts couldnt touch the fence then id electrify the fence and laugh when a person tried to cut that lmfao
