What are your other additions... I mean hobbies?

It seems when we get into something, we go a bit overboard. We have a dozen snakes, we have a dozen chinchillas, and we have a dozen Orchids. All different colors too. Maybe it has to do with the exotic nature of the hobby/addition and the variations, but just curious if you all have other weaknesses :)

My trucks. I spend way to much on them. And homebrew, I usually have 20 gallons at some point of the fermenting/aging/bottling process at any given time.

Im really big on Salmon fishing with a fly rod. Also quit the big basketball fan and I love beer!

Movies... I cellect them. I prob have over 300+ movies at home. That and shot glasses. i have a couple hundred of those too.

Dog showing and collecting. My favorite collection is my mannequins.

Breeding show quality shih tzus( those small dogs with really long hair) and (used to be, about to pick back up) Bearded dragons.

I find my self picking my nose alot lately( I swear im just itching!) but I do not think that counts?

I really dont know how I have time for all of my hobbies. Mountain biking, Carnivorous plants, Scuba Diving, Hiking, Backpacking, Photography and of course reptiles. It seems like I find a new hobby every few months :rolleyes:.

I show cattle!

We also salt water fish. And im a HUGE football fan. Go bears.

But between football practices, school, heifer ( you would be surprised...she gets one to two baths a day, and gets fed, groomed( blown down sprayed with special mixes and combed)...etc it takes up alot of time!) and snakes, I don't have much time for anything else anymore. Oh, and I am starting work as soon as football stops.

Skateboarding! I cant stop. lol

cars!!! im always working on mine and im going to college to become a tech. anyone in the chicago area having any problems with thier car?

that reminds me! I play the guitar and drums, but theguitar is on a regular basis.

Audio...not cheesy downloading MP3's onto an iPod or listening to Bose speakers, I mean real audio. You don't know what music can sound like until you've heard it through a $100,000 setup.

I also like video games...heaven would be playing Battlefield 2 on PC all day and Dead Rising on my Xbox 360 all night.

I've also been known to take a photograph or two once in a while...

Dressage. English saddle horse riding..
I'm a pretty big video game and anime nerd... for a girl anyway.. :]
I'm pretty strict about most of the stuff I like show wise, the rest I tend to make fun of.. a lot.

All animals.. dogs, cats, birds/parrots, snakes, fish, bunnies, mice, rats, hamsters, and lizards I've all had at one point in time. :]

I also play violin.

as far as hobbies...
1) collecting guns & target practice (I dare someone to try to break into my house :rolleyes: )
2) cars - old school s**t :P
3) paintball
4) quads
5) snowmobilin'
6) fresh water fishies - cichllids etc.
7) antique furniture (ok u can stop laughing now :rofl: )

My Critters are #1 though as far as hobbies are concerned :D

My wife just laughingly pointed out to me that I wrote "additions" and not "addictions"... I attribute this to the lack of sleep I'm getting cuz of our latest hobby... our human breeding project!

i watch a lot of movies mostly horror and tarantino-esque movies. i love to read. and i watch the boyfriend play his bass. i like to fish but i dont do that so much anymore. i love going to local music shows too. and getting tattoos. i love tattos. :banana:

Well, the wife has auburn hair and my grandpa had red hair, so I was a 50% Poss Het... kid turned out having brown hair like me.

Oh, and we both have hazel eyes but both our fathers have blue eyes, so we're both Hets, though we won't know what his eye color is for about a year. I didn't know that about human babies, lol.

I am big into nature and identifying local plants and animals. I will spend hours in the woods, photographing mushrooms, tree leaves and trees, etc. so I can go online and ID them. I plan on fully mapping out the woods here (300 acres) and indicating on the map where certain trees, etc. are.
I love art. No, I LOVE art! I am into oil and acrylic painting, with some watercolor one in awhile.. I like sculpting too, and sewing (I make throw pillows mostly but wanna get into making clothes for myself!) I also love, target-shoot and collect guns. In my little spare time, my other hobbies of course are spending time with my husband and close circle of friends (fiends?)

YAY. I wonder how many dressage, snake people there are. I am seriously into dressage as well, plus I am an artist. Wierd sculpture that is not really sellable. And I paint.

I train Krav Maga and when I get injured and can't train for a while (like now) I go completly nuts! But next monday I get to do some fighting again!! :bonk:

Awesome! I am not into dressage now, but in the coming years I really plan on taking serious lessons. I prefer a dressage seat/saddle to western.. and I have never been into jumping.. To start, I am buying a dressage saddle for my mare just to get back into the habit of riding in one..

Well the sculptures started being wierd back when I couldn't afford materials so I started looking around for materials that were free.... so I started taking apart stacks of harlequin romances from the dump. Hehe. I'll see if I have pix on this computer.

I think you will adore dressage. It is such an art, once you are beyond the very basics. I love how it becomes about harmony and music with your horse. It's such a beautiful sport.

bbe bmax pre going through qsc 1450with hartke 2.5 and 215b cabs. My only basses I still have are a 1993 Fender (that I got in 93) that has been modified with EMGs and a Spector Q5. I'll try to get some pics in the gallery as soon as I move all the junk out (recently gave up the "Jazz Room" as the reptile room and haven't set up a new jam space yet.)

Stangs- what kind of cows? I have always wanted a Jersey, they are just the most gentle looking creatures. I love their eyes, so expressive.

Bait4snake- the orchids are gorgeous, my absolute favorite flower on this earth.

My addiction would have to be photography, although I am not very good at it :oops: Lately though, my addiction is sleep. It is busy season and I am not getting enough so I take a cat nap whenever I get the chance.

Let the pictures do the talking. A future project, but it is fun already! (63 Impala SS convert)
