Hideboxes with room for waterdish on top
    Hello!
I was thinking about buying some of those fancy hideboxes that have room for a cup of water on the top over it.
Anyone who know any seller who ship these to Europe?

I have never seen the hides that you are talking about but I would be worried about the water being tipped since our bp moves her hides sometimes. But, if they are designed to have water placed on top of them then maybe they won't...but it's something to consider. Some people have mentioned that their bigger bps have made mobile homes out of their hides.

Hm, no no. :o there's a hole at the top of the hide box, where you can put a waterdish in, it's impossible to tip it over.

I thought these hideboxes were "famous" in the reptile community? I've seen them several places. o.o I'll try to find a link or something to show you!

Kinda like this one, only a waterdish where the moist-hide is. :)

www.beanfarm.com has hides with a built in water bowl on top. I use them and they are real space savers.

Freedom breeder sells 3 different size hides with water bowls for half the price of bean farm, http://www.freedombreeder.com/accessories.php

Not to quibble but I just looked at that and a Freedom medium hide costs only a dollar less than the Beanfarm medium hide and it is smaller too so I would say that they are essentially the same price. Freedom does offer both smaller and larger sizes than Beanfarm. Either of them would be as good as the other. They both save space.

Perhaps you would like these bowls, I use them in a rack for hides for up to 2000g ball pythons. and they are $1.50 cdn each. If there is an ikea where you live they will likely have them. The snakes squeeze under them and lift them off the ground a bit but they don't seem to notice they are not hiding so well. Snakes under 1600g don't even lift them up.

lol, from IKEA. :) who would have thought!
But wouldn't the snake feel more comfortable if it could hide the entire body?

When the bowl lifts up it presses against the top of the rack making a very tight hiding spot, as far as I can tell they seem to like it that way..

As a result of this post I went to my local Ikea store and bought 7 of these bowls for 99 cents apiece. They had large ones and small ones. I bought 4 small ones and 3 big ones. Can't go wrong at that price. I also found a wall clock for the reptile room with a thermometer and hygrometer on it for $4.99. Thanks for the tip!
