That's correct, they're both co dom so the fires super form is the black eyed lucy and the butters super form is the blue eyed lucy

    so, wondering then

Famale butter to a male fire,

What sort of luci would come of this? has anyone tried?

I'm trying to figure if the genes are close enoug that you could get a blue or black or nothing.

Normals, butters, fires, fire butters but no lucys. Fire x fire make normals, fires and super fires, also known as black eyed lucys.

butters, mojaves, lessers, phantoms make blue eye lucys. Some crosses are dirty (mojave x mojave) and some are whiter then white (lesser x lesser) at least from what I heard

The only way I know of to make a black eyed lucy is with a fire crossed with a fire.

A fire to butter would make a fire Butter, not a white snake. you would need to breed fire butter to fire butter to get a Blook eyed lucy and a little luck.

I think the fire would be a great investment. they make everything look brighter and give it that hypo twist. Butters are great to. thats quite the decision.

i know, am really torn on what toi go with
    the fire or the butter....

i am trying to figure out what to do,
I'm to a point where i may get a Fire and a Butter
Or maybe two butters or two spiders.

sigh. I'm not sure what to get! lol
getting two of the same SHOULD ensure i get a luci sooner or later, then again the blue eyed luci is tempting. sigh.

Help me decide guys, Should i get Butter or Fire?
Or post of pics i'm having a hard time finding pictures!

    Fire.

This snake hasn't even came close to reaching its full potential! They are def one of my top fav balls, and will hopefully invest in a few sooner or later! Hopefully sooner...lol.

Fire in the picture, I personally like lessers better than butters but I love butters as well. I personally am not a fan of fires but I love what they do when mixed in with other morphs. Also although the black eyed lucy is cool, those blue eyes steal my heart!

I've heard that superfires are very white snakes but not as white as a Rousso lucy. The pic on constrictors unlimited's site is a very pure white. Anyone else got some pics?

Sorry to hijack, but what's the genetic difference with a fire and a Joliff het lucy? I thought that both were hets for Black eye lucies, and that fires were co-dom hets. Today I saw a BEL that was a mojo x Joliff, and I didn't think those were compatable at all. I also saw a 100% het blue or green hypo that was also 50% orange or butterscotch hypo (I don't remember which). I thought these were compatable ghost genes, so if they were actually also hets for orange or BS, wouldn't that just have a hypo phenotype? I thought orange, BS, blue and green hypos were all compatible.

I plan to go with the fires, ivories and mojos for my white snakes.
