    Triple codom male...your pick?
    Hi everyone,

Not this coming breeding season but the next I will have 5+ single codom females ready to go with a codom male. I have some of my females lined up for my pied male to make codom het pieds, but the pastels, a normal, maybe a cinny and yellowbelly are in need of a nice codom male.

So I'm in the market for a triple codom male this year...At this point I'm thinking bumblebelly (spider/pastel/yellowbelly) or killerbee (spider/super pastel). Both of those are comparatively priced.

Does anyone have any input as to which triple codom male might be better than the other?

It seems like the "consistency" of the killerbee would be great...but the potential to throw 4 genes with the bumblebelly is fantastic...

    Any thoughts??

I would go with the bumblebelly for the 4 gene mix.. perhaps you could hit a superpastel bumblebelly with your pastels...

I have a killerbee and love its looks, but that bumblebelly is just amazing. If I were making the chioce today, I would go with the bumblebelly. I also like the options that the bumblebelly would give you with your females.

Breed it to your YB and get an ivory that is also a bee. WOW!

I would love to buy a Spinner Blast but the Bumblebelly is really sweet if your thinking about it :)

    Thanks for the input, everyone!

I was wondering with the bumblebelly...say I hit a super pastel spider yellowbelly offspring...at what point is it going to become difficult to tell if there is any yellowbelly in there???

If I could pick any triple codom. I'd say Killer Spinner. Or something like a Pastel Honey Bee, Axanthic killer bee.

    Tough call!

If you are looking to eliminate normal production then I'd definitely vote for the killerbee......you can always make your own bumblebellies with your het ivory. :)

If you are wanting to make a 4 gene combo then I'd say do the bumblebelly.

For triple co-doms I'd have to say a spinner blast (pastel spider pinstripe) would be near the top of my list! :)

I agree! But from what I've heard they are going to be priced significantly higher than either of a killerbee or bumblebelly. Do you know anyone that will be producing them?

I like the looks of a spinner blast for sure, and I've heard they hold their color exceptionally well. But I'm just not that excited about the pinstripe gene...maybe I'm weird like that? I really like the G-stripes and Superstripes...but I just don't find pins that exciting. Am I the only one?

Marc Bailey had one posted on KS but the ad is down now. It looked like a really clean/sharp bumblebee.

Debbie from Ballistic Morphs had one at the Denver show yesterday. It was a beautiful animal. My wife doesn't care for my snakes but she wanted that one.
