    Jungle carpet python? pictures, DUW
I bought Kyrii in June, It was a craigslist ad so I'm not sure what line the snake is from. I was told the snake looked like a cross, I'm not even sure if you can tell by just looking at the pics but it's worth a shot. He/she is an awesome snake anyway so it doesn't really matter. Sooo here are a few pics... Thanks in advance!

this is when the guy first brought him to me

looks nice, i'd say it looks like a cross to me too, but it could be pure JCP. the head pattern and labial markings are JCP all the way, but the overall 'look' and the lateral striping indicate it may be outcrossed to say, a coastal. you never know... and like you said, it doesn't matter to you anyway. good luck with your carpet!

Thanks so much! He is an awesome snake. I've been shooting for a JCP, that was actually the only snake I wanted to own. Buuut while I was looking, I found a kingsnake last year, then rescued a lucy rat with belly rot, it just spiraled from there... Definitely addicting! :gj: We used to own 2 burms when I was younger and a bunch of balls. I would love to get another bp but I just wanna focus on these 3 for a while... we will see how long that lasts. haha

He's a nice looking guy hopefully he will tame down with handling as he gets older. I too live in Baltimore and own a JCP. They are such awesome snakes!

Pure jungles can and sometimes do have lateral striping, though it is more common in coastals. The bottom line is that you will never know what it is exactly and nobody can say definitively. All you can be sure of is that its mostly jungle, what if anything else is mixed in there will remain a mystery.

I didn't think it was possible to clearly tell in pictures as I said in my first post, but it definitely helps. I don't know anything about it haha. Thanks Nick! :gj:
