lesserbee countdown

well the countdown has started. day 52 is the 30th. now to snip or wait?

Snip! I have one that will be on day 52 aswell on the 30th

in someway i want to wait just to see if it gives me better odds has the odds i have gotten so far have been bad.

Snip them eggs. Have you candled them yet. You can find out what's in them without cutting. However, I can never wait that long.

i have candled them i see babies but i an never make out a pattern when i candle them.my light might not be bright enough. what kind of light do you use. the light i use is a single l.e.d light

I have never had very much luck with the LED's. I use a plain jane mini mag lite. The ones that take 2 AA batteries.

I say wait till day 54. Good luck either way!!

Yeah, sure you can - I just don't have the touch apparently. I candled my last clutch last night (Day 41) and I couldn't tell a darn thing. :(

I can't tell you not to cut, as I plan on cutting my clutch day 54/55.:D

Yep we will! Ours are only a het Albino to Normal pairing but I can't wait to cut those darn eggs and see the babies in there. You do what you feel is best, Gene, but I know I'd be snip, snip, snipping as soon as dawn broke on day 52 if I was waiting on a Lesserbee LOL.

I cut on day 50 on all my clutches.

how many clutches have you had if you dont mind me asking? i have my first 2 and im debating on cutting or not.

this is #4 so farthis year i still have 4 more in the incubator and i should be getting 2-4 more yet. i haven't seen all the ovulations.

well as it looks right now i have
2 lessers
1 spider
3 normals
so no lesserbees here this year
i will be placeing pis up later

Oh I'm sorry you missed out on the Lesserbee's you wanted Gene but heck healthy lessers and spider and so forth is great! Can't wait to see the pics and congrats. :)

That stinks Gene. But, you did get some healthy babies. I hope next year the odds will be reversed, and you'l get 4 LesserBees, 1 Lesser, 1 Spider and 1 Normal.
