Looking good.. Have you thought about a watering system for the rats? It makes breeding rats a little easier.

Thought of the same thing, expecialy if your getting more rat racks, thats a lot of water bottles to fill up!!

I like how you keep your peleted bedding as well, thats what mine is in. Also, go to walmart and get a small trashcan that they have in the laundry isle and put your rodent block in that, it will keep it much fresher than with it sitting out in its bag like that, not to mention, it will keep other wild critters from getting to it!!

Could someone please describe a watering system?
I'm betting it's a simpel thing to set up but I'm curious. :D

It requires a big tub/bucket on the top of your rack or a shelve above the rack, with tubing/PVC runing down it to sippers that are ran through the hardware cloth in the rack.

Here is a picture of mine. The blue tubing goes to drinking valves in the top of each kitty litter pan

Lookin good. :) Just one thing, tho... doesn't the TV being on top of the rack bother the snakes with the vibrations?? I try to keep everything that makes noise at least 5' from my enclosures to minimize vibrations for the snakes. Maybe I'm just a worry wort about that sort of thing.

Before we moved out here I had all my snakes in my bedroom... with a 46" tv, surround sound, and subwoofer. At first I was worried about the same thing, that the noise and vibrations would stress them out and throw their feeding off so I'd always keep the volume really low. After a while I got tired of barely being able to hear my movies/video games so I started turning it up a little bit and when I didn't notice any detrimental effects with the snakes, I turned it up a little louder... and a little louder... and a little louder. ;) Eventually I got to the point where it was plenty loud, and the snakes never seemed to have a problem with it. Maybe it was because I gradually turned it up and they acclimated to it? Although, I had added a few snakes to the collection during that time and none of them ever seemed to have a problem with it either -- maybe I'm just lucky. :D

i dont have a problem with noise.i play rockband extremely loud and it has no effect.i even at one point had a 10 gallon tank on a 15" subwoofer.
